Hi, I recently turned 15 and have had my hairloss on my mind for quite a long time. I started to lose hair when in the 8th grade and I would like to know how to prevent this premature balding. My hairline has noticably receded and it is easy to see right through my hair to my scalp. I do not like this at all and would like to know how can I get rid of this problem.

Don't worry--wearing hats is fine. But Rogaine is probably your best bet. There is also a pill called Propecia (also known as Finasteride). I also read in Men's Health that the Selenium in dandruff shampoo can reduce hair loss by 8%-10%. Both treatments work much better when taken early.

Unless you are losing your hair from malnutrition (which I doubt), vitamins shouldn't work........although watch out for scam-salespeople who will try to pan them off on you anyway.

PS--when you are older, you might consider hair transplantation. All they do is take some hair from the sides and back of your head (which don't fall out for some reason) and move it on top. Its still your hair and will continue to grow even after its transplanted.......
