Sorry, I don't quite understand what you're asking. Do you mean a "teardrop" or "a rip" as "a tear/rip in his pants"?

I am guessing you mean "tear" as in "crying". I think of being overcome with emotion.
If you mean "tear" as "rip" then I would think of embarrassment. When I ripped my shorts playing softball, it was embarrassing. That is what comes to mind.
