pros:
- if you use numbing cream, it doesn't hurt... it actually tickled me.
- hip tattoos are easily hideable.
- If you get them low enough, they won't stretch when you get pregnant.
cons:
- healing salve wipes off because of clothes.

Aside from the stretching, and people complaining just for the sake of complaining--
The only cons about tattoos on your hips is that they're a PAIN to let heal. It's hard to wear pants because they rub the tattoos >.< But other than that, I think the lightning bolts would look awesome!

If you plan on having kids (or if you gain weight), they'll stretch and won't look the same. And after you have the baby (or lose the weight), you skin will stretch back but your tattoo won't. Instead of lightning bolts, they'll probably be squiggly lines.
I'd definitely recommend getting a tattoo on a different part of your body that's not so prone to such extreme stretching, because anything on the hip/stomach area of the body that starts to stretch looks pretty bad after a bit of time goes by!

hips are verrry sore afterwards for a few days.
I asked the tattoo artist about what happens when i get pregnant, as one of mine is on my hip. They said so long as your mosturise well and try to stay in shape there should be much problem. Also with lightning bolts theya re quite a simple design so if you get bored of them eventually they would be easier to cover up with something else.

It is not that I dislike tattooes, but most teenage girls change there minds every like five mins. Tats are mosty forever, so think about it. Will you still think this is cool ten years from now? Good luck

if it doesn't have meaning, you'll likely regret it, and the placement is likely to stretch and get distorted, or have stretch marks going through it...this is one of the few times i'll say don't do it.

Pros: Coroner will be able to identify your remains.
Cons: You will be recognized as a spam sucking, trailer dwelling, beer sipping, porch sitting, yard fighting, pit bull breeding, white trash.
