Its from Matthew 6: 9,10...the Lord's Prayer.

Its about God's planned Kingdom, the one we pray for. It will function both on the earth AND in heaven.
Its the same Kingdom as prophecied at:
(DANIEL 2:44) “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;

Almighty god Jehovah has placed Jesus on the throne of this kingdom and his subjects will be the ' righteous' on the earth and the anointed 144,000 in heaven.
(REVELATION 20:4) And I saw thrones, and there were those who sat down on them, and power of judging was given them. Yes, I saw the souls of those executed with the ax for the witness they bore to Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had worshiped neither the wild beast nor its image and who had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for a thousand years.

(PSALM 37:9) For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.

(PSALM 37:11) But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

(PSALM 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.

(PSALM 37:34) Hope in Jehovah and keep his way, And he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see [it].

The will of God in heaven for any one on earth is to be holy
and do his commandments to go heaven
because God want all to be saved and come to the truth
so we ask to do as his will in our life on earth.
Heb. 8:1-6
1
The point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,
2
and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by man.

3
Every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, and so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer.
4
If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, for there are already men who offer the gifts prescribed by the law.
5
They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: "See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain."
6
But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, and it is founded on better promises.

1 John 5:14

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

The Celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the Roman Catholic/Eastern Orthodox Mass! Jesus Christ is truly, physically, literally, substantially present under the appearance of bread and wine. His one, perfect, and perpetual sacrifice at calvary is re-presented before the Father on "earth as it is in heaven" by the power of the Holy Spirit through the ordained Priest. God bless.

I believe you are referring to the Lord's prayer. He is teaching what are the proper things to pray for and is speaking of God's kingdom and his will to be done here on earth as it is being done in heaven (by his angels). Because God kingdom will rule from heaven with Jesus the appointed king and his subjects will be on earth in paradise conditions - no more evil.

His will being - to preach the good news of His kingdom.

Presuming that this is an excerpt from The Lord's Prayer, as in "...Thy Will be done on earth, as it is in heaven..." then it means that THE LAW given by God [to all of His Creation] will also be followed here on Earth, as it already is being followed in Heaven.

Hope that helps.

Peace be with you.

The gospel of the Kingdom of God returning here physically on this earth. The Millennial reign of the Messiah in Jerusalem.

Mat 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Zec 8:3 "Thus says the LORD, 'I will return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the LORD of hosts will be called the Holy Mountain.'
Zec 8:4 "Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'Old men and old women will again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each man with his staff in his hand because of age.
Zec 8:5 'And the streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its streets.'
Zec 8:6 "Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'If it is too difficult in the sight of the remnant of this people in those days, will it also be too difficult in My sight?' declares the LORD of hosts.
Zec 8:7 "Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'Behold, I am going to save My people from the land of the east and from the land of the west;
Zec 8:8 and I will bring them back, and they will live in the midst of Jerusalem, and they will be My people and I will be their God in truth and righteousness.'

It's "thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven"

It means "your will be done here as well as up there".

So it's saying that god is boss here and up there, and his will will be done, I assume by everyone living here and dead up there, and so on and so on. Big boss, O Lord, you are so big, please don't burn us and all that.

Of course, you can't really talk honestly about anything being on Earth "as it is in Heaven" because of the two, only Earth exists.

God's Will is that we love one another.
help and assist those who need help and assistance.
Like the people in your family, your neighbors, friends, the people you meet in life.

God's will, to begin, starts with the 10 commandments.
From there, go forth

One meaning of the phrase is that it refers to the "earth" of the human body (as Adam was made from dirt). Let this mind be in you which was in the Messiah.........
