U said base metals can be turned into Gold "Via" particle accelerators. Water turning into wine "Via" what? Gods supernatural powers? If God exist and Jesus was god or whatever I`m sure turning water into wine would not be such a difficult task being that he created the entire universe.
Edit: Wait! Are you asking is it possible for God? Are u saying that since base metals can be turned into gold God should be able to turn water into wine? Thats odd! It seems like your suggesting a supernatural omnipotent beings power is limited to the natural laws? Is nature more powerful than the supernatural?

Water is a compound composed of oxygen and hydrogen. You cannot generate carbon (necessary for alcohol and the red color) from either with a particle accelerator. Further, the chemical compounds would break apart under those energies, whereas gold and base metals are elemental. It would be easier to just add wine and serve watered wine.

If you knew how gold was transmuted you'd understand that water to wine is not even close to the same reaction. Go grab a chemistry book. Grade 12 should do it.

The wine my wife drinks has a certain amount of water in it. Part of the process.
In Jesus' case, it was his first miracle and showed he had God's blessing to be able to do it.
Also it proves that Jesus approves of alcoholic beverages PROVIDED they are consumed in moderation.
(1 TIMOTHY 5:23) Do not drink water any longer, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent cases of sickness.
(EPHESIANS 5:18) Also, do not be getting drunk with wine, in which there is debauchery, but keep getting filled with spirit,
Holy Spirit, that is, not spirits from the top shelf.

Turning mercury into gold is just brute force. By comparison, turning water into wine is precision work: there are thousands of different chemical substances that make up wine.

Water into wine was a miracle....a "supernatural" event performed by Jesus Himslef on that specific occasion. And hey, Carl.....ummmm, Jesus gave His apostles the power of performing miracles in the Book of Acts.....remember??
To those reading this.....that's why we have so many religions....people remain ignorant of what is right in front of them.....and then cry for the truth to be found and understood.....when they are just too darn lazy to find out or whatever!
Anyway.....miracle....not science! A big difference! Supernatural vs. natural!
God created the natural.....and also does supernatural things within His naturally created creation....because He is the One who made it all!!!
Check this out.....
Read Job 38:1-40:5
I dare ya!!!
Good reading.....

Turning one element into another is not impossible.
Iron turns into iron oxide naturally.
Leaves and grass turn into dirt. Coal turns into diamonds, and can be done artificially.
Wood can be turned into heat and ash.
Chemicals turn into other chemicals and produce electricity at the same time. Sodium and chlorine become salt.
Water into wine? sure, by adding mashed fruit and allowing to ferment.
The supernatural however... no evidence whatsoever that any such thing exists.

If it's naturally possible, then why does it deserve the title of miracle?
If scientists can do it, what makes Jesus so great?
I mean, really, did you even think of that? You're not providing evidence for miracles, you're undermining them. In fact, the very act of trying to prove religious beliefs undermines the faith. It turns matters of faith into matters of fact. If it's no longer supernatural it no longer requires faith. Need I remind you that providing proof belongs to the realm of science? Religion, god, faith, miracles and prayer all depend on faith. Once you remove them from the realm of the supernatural and place them in the natural domain they become the property of reality, of science. God's house gets smaller and natural explanation takes a little more ground. Understand?

Transubstantiation means that a Catholic priest blesses the bread and wine and they become the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
The problem is that when Jesus Christ instituted the Lord's Supper just prior to His death and resurrection. He said to do this in remembrance of me. In other words we are to remember Him, not try to turn the elements into Him.

Are you saying Jesus carried a nuclear reactor in his pocket? Sure science can provide a way to do it, but I think Jesus did it the easier way - he simply used his divinity to command the elements, and the elemts, without hesitation, obeyed.
