Anywhere there is a lot of soft tissue under the skin - muscle counts as soft tissue. The chest (for guys), upper arm, back, and (for the shy) the bum are popular sites for this reason. Wrist and facial tattoos are *not* for the faint of heart!

On a woman the least painful place to get tattooed is her breasts

The heel of your foot. Seriously. Because of how thick your skin is, you don't feel anything at all. But one where people will see, your upper arm is the least painful place to go. But the closer you get to the inside your arm, the worse it gets.

I have four tattoos, one on the back of my shouler, one on the back of my neck, one on my hip, and one on the side of my stomach (and it reaches to ribs). Out of those four, the back of my neck and the back of my shoulder hurt the least. They actually didn't hurt at all. The hip one stung because of the bone and the stomach/ribs one was crucial. That one took 2 hours and it was the worst pain ever. Good luck!!

wherever you have more fat. I just got one on my wrist and compared to the one on my upper back, it was definitely more painful. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a high pain tolerance.

On someone else. HAHAHA! Just kidding. I got mine on my thigh, and it barely hurt at all. Most of the time, it felt like playing with a kitty cat, and every once in awhile, it would feel like the cat "scratched". Not bad at all.
