I would like to know if you think people can be born truly "evil". I would like to believe humanity is inherently good but I'm not so sure, please let me know your opinion.

I believe that some people might be born evil but it would be really hard to look at a newborn baby and say they were evil. I believe that most evil people are evil because of circumstance.

Yes, I believe some are born evil. From their very beginnings you could see how they torture animals and have no respect or real love for anything. They will step on anyone or anything to get what they want. They feel justified in hurting others to acquire what they desire. They could lie, steal and sometimes kill with no remorse. People mean nothing to them. They can only mimic real emotion since they do not know what it means to love another person. They go through life pretending that they feel things others do. They are dead inside and can only feel love for themselves. They are called sociopaths. The only thing that matters to these people is their own self gratification. Sometimes, environment will have a factor in forming these people. But sometimes environment has nothing to do with how these bad seeds turn out. Evil is born into the world as well as good.

I do think some people are born who understand nothing of love or goodness -- "psychopaths" (I understand that that is no longer an official diagnosis, but you know what I mean).

However, I don't think we can impute guilt to them. For all we know, they did the best they could with the personality they were saddled with, and may have tried much harder than someone blessed with an easygoing personality that everyone thinks is a great guy.

So -- no, I don't think they would be truly evil, even if the things they do are evil.

I don't think that someone is born bad. I think that they are made bad, or become bad. I think that they may have mental problems when they are born and need help but they are not born bad. I feel that sometimes that they need a lot of attention and are not given that attention or sometimes they are given too much attention and demand it from society later on and don't get it and get bad, but they weren't born bad. There are many children that have parents who were murderers who turned out to be great people. On the other hand, there are children whose parents were wonderful people and they turned out to be terrible people. So I don't think that they were born bad. I think they chose to be bad. I think that we can choose to be the way we wish to be or that things happen to us that make us do things we shouldn't, etc. I feel that we take paths in this life, we aren't born on a bad path.

A daughter and her boyfriend murders her parents, brother and his family on Christmas day ... are there bad seeds? Is there evil in the world? Yes!

Maybe they weren't born that way but somehow they got messed up! And the result is a tragedy that has nothing to do with God! Absolutely nothing! ... Blessings!

Unfortunately, since the fall of mankind from God.....every human born is capable of choosing and doing wrong. Does it mean we are inherently evil.....umm, not so sure about that perspective.....but certainly not up to a Holy God's standards.....that's why Jesus Christ came upon the scenes....thank GOD too!! He made a way for us...who are sinful at times, to be made pure and "righteous" in God's sight....because Jesus Christ was both a man and God at the same time....divine!!! A fancy term for this is hypostatic union!!!

Humanity is NOT inherently good. However some are strikingly evil. Joel Wallach says it often has to do with mineral deficiencies.

i know that babies are born with different temperaments but i do not think they were born evil. i think that the environment has a major influence on the evil outcome. if a child is not loved and is neglected and does not experience love that child has social repercussions and can lack empathy for other people.

I honestly believe that there are some people who are born bad. I try to see the good in others, but there are some people who are not good.

I am born Evil and I would like to take your soul with me, if I can or any person that believes in God.
