avacodos are a complete food (its an excellent baby food, as well as bananas).. but high in fats... it is loaded with tons of vitamins and minerals... but since its such a fatty food, they say to limit the amount you eat of avacodos per week, the fats are a good fat, but none the less, still fats.... so if you are watching your weight, dont over do it...

Not unless you are a pet; avocados are safe and healthy for humans but poisonous to some birds, and other animals. So don't feed that guacamole dipped chip to your doggy or he might not feel that good in the morning.

funny you should ask -- I just ate a whole bowl full! And researched while eating it!
Guacamole is not bad for you. It contains many excellent nutrients, no cholesterol, etc. However, if you're not skinny like me, it should be eaten in moderation, because it is very high in calories. It's very high in good fats, so if you get zits, stay away. Also, avocado can be laxative... so I may be spending some time on the toilet soon... it was just so tasty!
But it's really healthy in most ways -- like most vegetable based foods. Really, the only problem with guacamole is the calories.

Eating or drinking too much of anything can be harmful to the human body. Too much water in your system can be lethal. Guacamole is not bad for you. Avocados (its main ingredient) have more potassium than a bananas. Simply do not consume excess amounts of it.

Avocados are an extremely healthy food on their own, but when you turn it into guacamole, that's when things can go bad. It really depends on what you add to make your guacamole. If you add other healthy foods to the avocados, you're still fine. But if you add fattening, high calorie foods, then that guac would not be good for you. Hope this helps~

No it is not bad for you but I would not eat it on a daily basis. It has a high fat content so I would eat it only occasionally. You would be much better off to just buy avocados and slice them up and put on a sandwich.
