Isn't it weird that they dropped that investigation and noone's said anything about it since?

I noticed that soon after it was revealed that the Anthrax was a US weapons grade strain created for "research," the media pretty much stopped talking about it. My uninformed opinion is that a disgruntled employee stole it and either kept it or sold it to someone. After 9/11 the person saw the perfect opportunity to mail it to Tom Brokaw, the Enquirer, US senators, etc. It fits the pattern of US homegrown terrorism (remember the Unibomber?) much more so than Islamic terrorism, but due to the timing the possibility of a US source was largely ignored.

Probably because once a few authentic anthrax letters were discovered and the perpetrators caught, some other idiots started mailing phonies...letters containing baby powder and corn starch and other fake "anthrax". The government probably thought that all that copy-catting was getting out of hand and if they thought the real threat was contained, probably figured it was best to stop giving the phenomenon attention so morons would quit mailing phony anthrax.

bugs are everywhere. anthrax is deadly but need a special medium for culture and to sent through the mail. It doesn't digest to me.
