Mu husband is disabled and it we found out how hard it is for him to get in and out of the car due to his disability and not being able to walk. We thought it might work, but it does not. Can we take the car and exchange it for another?

Probably, but you are going to take a bath on the deal. You now own a used vehicle and the value dropped at least 15% since you drove it away. Car dealers are totally without mercy...

You can trade it in on another vehicle - but you can't swap it out like you can a sweater.

Depending on what you paid for it - you may be upside down - meaning - the dealer may not give you enough to pay off your note. If the dealership does pay off the note, they will sell the new car to you at a higher price to make up the difference. The dealership has to sell the car and make a profit after commission and expenses.

I know of no law...only car dealer kindness if you explain problem.......maybe modify the seat or something is an option.
