Nowhere in the original scriptures does it say that Jesus wasn't married. Nowhere in the original scriptures (before mistranslations) did it say that Mary was a virgin. Nowhere in the texts does it say that half of them weren't gay. All this skewed teaching is based on assumptions, that are not even backed up by scripture. The only one that can be reasonably assumed to have made these claims was a freak from Tarsus who didn't even know Jesus or the apostles, and didn't even bother to hide the fact that he was a sexist bigot.

scotgirl60: I make no assumptions nor claims; Christians do. I just pointed out that the exact opposite claims could be made with the exact same amount of scriptural evidence: NONE. Have a nice day.

I think part of it is they have never questioned what was put before them or looked at other sources from the time. It also amazes me how many people think the King James version is the standard! The language is lovely, but the new revised standard is better. Also, many of them don't take into account the possibilities of mistranslation and mistakes in transcribing.

You are not a very good reader; read the Bible again so you can understand the true beauty of it....GOD is A GOD He made this earth who in there right mind is gonna said no GOD you cant get married, because you made the earth and you cant ever have a mate.....PLEASE stop ,and as for MARY she was a young girl with LOVE in her heart.NO you LL will never understand a mothers LOVE for a son that had to watch as they nailed him to a cross ....the pain ,the helplessness......

Aside from being blasphemous and pejorative, this is a good question. Messiah said that He always did those things that please His Father. That would mean that He did not do those things that are called abominations. He entrusted His mother to the disciple John. that would reasonably imply that He had no other family, (and that Joseph wasn't there, and that Mary did not have other children)

Well it depends on faith. What do you believe? All that we are to do in this life God asks that we believe in His Son. And I do solely rely on Gods word. Jesus is the Son of God and no where in the Bible does it it say He was married or that Mary wasnt a virgin. Faith is all I can say in totally submitting to the Word of God not adding to or taking away from it.
