I know the bible speaks of a "behemoth" that people say might be in reference to a dinosaur..but also heard about a reference to a neanderthal. Is this true? Anyone know WHERE in the bible this might be?

I've never heard that. Unless someone is talking about the Nephilim or something which are mentioned in Genesis 6, and usually are translated as giants.

Maybe you are thinking of the Nephalim - the highbred sons of the angels that forsook their original position in heaven to be with the human women - destroyed in the flood. Or the Nephanim (sp?) the group of people know to be giants or taller than average.

I've heard of the hippo referred to as a behemoth - not to say dinos weren't around.

I can't find them now but there are 2 texts in Genesis that are provocative. One says at the end that "there were giants on the earth" at that time. The other, I believe is close and says that the fallen angels had relations with the daughters of men.

The book of Job 40: 15-24. A hippo perhaps. It could also be a sauropod.
