Okay, i have taken the best arguments from the other side, and I want you to explain these. No need to do them all if you don't want, but I'll leave this question long enough to be covered. ^_^

1)The Book of Mormon teaches that little children are not capable of sin because they do not have a sinful nature (Moroni 8:8). In contrast, the Bible in Psalm 51:5 clearly teaches that we have sinful nature from birth: "Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me" (NIV). (This does not mean that those who die in infancy are lost

2)According to a Book of Mormon prophecy (Helaman 14:27), at the time of Christ’s crucifixion "darkness should cover the face of the whole earth for the space of three days." In contrast, the New Testament gospel accounts declare repeatedly that there was darkness for only three hours while Jesus was on the cross (Matthew 27:45; Mark 15:33; Luke 23:44).

3)According to the Book of Mormon, there were many high priests serving at the same time (Mosiah 11:11; Alma 13:9-10; 46:6,38; Helaman 3:25) in the New World, among those it describes as Jewish immigrants from ancient Israel who "kept the law of Moses" (e.g., 2 Nephi 25:10; Jacob

4)The people described in the Book of Mormon operated multiple temples (Alma 16:13; 23:2; 26:29). This violates the dictates of the Old Testament Scriptures on two counts: First, God commanded Israel to build only one temple to reflect that fact that there is only one true God (Deuteronomy 12:5,13-14; 16:5-6). Second, the one legitimate temple was to be built in Jerusalem (Zion), the location designated by God (The Old Testament is filled with explicit references to God choosing Jerusalem

5)Jesus was born at Jerusalem
Alma 7:10

Jesus was born in Bethlehem.
Matthew 2:1

6)The Gospel, Church, and Christianity existed prior to the time of Christ (in the Americas)
2 Nephi 26:12

The Gospel, Church, and Christianity began following the time of Christ.
Matthew 16:18

1)Little children can sin yes, but they are not held accountable for those sins. Of course we all sin. Little Children simply are not responsible for their actions until the age of 8 and they have been baptized.

2) Okkkkkkk.....tell me where in the Book of Mormon it said the darkness was in Jerusalem for 3 days.........it says it was there for 3 days in the Americas. Last time I checked they were halfway around the globe from each other.

3) Yes, there were. Now where is the contradiction to the Bible?

4) That is what the Lord told the Israelites. There were prophets among the Nephites, and God talked to them, so He must have said it was all right.

5) The Nephites didn't know where Bethlehem was. They knew where Jerusalem was though, so they just said Jerusalem so that the people would know the general location. If they had said Bethlehem, everyone would have wondered where it was.

6) The Gospel existed in the Americas before the time of Christ, yes. And yes, the Gospel of Christ only started in the Jews lands' after His time. That's because the Nephites were more righteous than the Jews, and so they got it first. And the full and complete Gospel wasn't around until Christ was on the Earth, because certain things He needed to do.

I still don't see how any of these "contradictions" (if you can call them that) affect anyones spiritual well being and eternal salvation.

1) they are not accountable as babes [until 8] -- however, these mortal bodies are carnal in nature and from birth, we must learn to bridle them - hence no infant baptism, yet carnal or sinful from birth

2) different signs on different continents - in ancient Israel for the birth of Christ, they got a star & angels; in ancient America, they had a day and a night and a day without darkness even though the sun set - same for his death - there were different signs on different continents

3) the highest office in the levitical priesthood is bishop [high priest] and must be held by one who has the higher priesthood --

4) Revelations talks about not only the temple in Jerusalem, but also the temple in New Jerusalem.

5) the people of the Book of Mormon had no reference for 'Bethlehem' or the city of David. They only knew that their forefathers had come from Jerusalem, so as the prophets prophesied of the coming Savior, they spoke of Jerusalem, the land of their forefathers

6) The prophets of the old testiment testified of the coming Christ. This claim that christianity and the church of Christ began with Christ is utterly false. Adam worshiped Jehovah - who is Jesus Christ. What we call Christianity or the gospel of Christ actually began before this world...

Let me know if you want me expound on these more, I tried to keep it short

1) Many Christians mistakenly interpret scriptures like Psalm 51:5 to mean that children are born sinful, that they inherit sin from father Adam. In reality, this interpretation is not correct. The Jews themselves, the people who wrote the Old Testament, did not believe in original sin, nor did the earliest Christians. The concept of original sin was first developed centuries after Christ's death by men named Irenaeus and Augustine of Hippo.

Mormons believe that little children are innocent from birth, that they do not inherit sin from father Adam. Sinfulness is only possible as men and women choose to act contrary to God's will. Little children cannot make any choices. We believe in the Bible, specifically Ezekiel 18:20, which states: "The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."

2) Many point to Helaman 14:27 in the Book of Mormon, which states that at Christ's death there were three days of darkness. Because the Bible speaks of only three hours of darkness at the Savior's death, critics claim that this constitutes a contradiction. In reality, there is no contradiction. The Book of Mormon is set in the Western Hemisphere, and the Biblical account is set in ancient Israel. There is no reason there could not have been three days of darkness in the Americas, and three hours of darkness in Israel.

Many academians find convincing parallels between the "darkness" described in the Book of Mormon and the aftermath of a large volcanic eruption. In fact, there is geologic evidence that suggests there were large volcanic eruptions around the time of Christ's death is Mesoamerica, where most Mormon academians believe the Book of Mormon took place. The resulting volcanic "darkness" could have lasted three days.

3) You didn't provide any Biblical verse that contradicts the stated Book of Mormon record.

4) In fact, in ancient times the Jews did have multiple temples. For example, in the 5th century BC the Jews also had a temple in Elephantine in Egypt.

5) Many point out that Alma 7:10, a scripture in the Book of Mormon, states that Jesus would be born in the land of Jerusalem. Because the Bible says he was born in Bethlehem, critics suggest that the Book of Mormon must be a fraud. In reality, Alma 7:10 is strong evidence of the historicity of the Book of Mormon as an authentic ancient text.

Note that the scripture says Christ would be born in the "land of Jerusalem," not the "city of Jerusalem." In fact, it was an ancient custom to describe Bethlehem, a city 5 miles south of Jerusalem, as being in the "land of Jerusalem." For example, The "El Amarna letter #287" describes "a town of the land of Jerusalem, Bit-Lahmi [Bethlehem] by name, a town belonging to the king, has gone over to the side of the people of Keilah."

Even the Bible refers to Bethlehem as being "in the land of Jerusalem." According to 2 Kings 14:20: "[Amaziah] was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David." Luke 2:4 clearly identifies the "city of David" as Bethlehem.

6) You didn't provide a biblical verse to show how this is a contradiction. Actually, most Christians believe the ancient Jews had some knowledge of future Christianity. Handel's "Messiah" is full of Old-Testament scriptural verses that foretell the coming of Jesus Christ.

These contradictions are mostly based on sectarian points of view. There is one verse that says infants are born evil, and the Savior said you must be as a child to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. There are a dozen Bible verses about a pure heart and there are a couple on how evil the heart is.

Yes there was darkness in Jerusalem for only 3 hours. That doesn't mean that in America is wasn't longer. This was a different type of darkness that Joshua making the sun stand still. As soon as I see the video on You Tube, we can time it.

Its always nice to see a mormon/LDS person thinking for themselves. I haven't gone thru EE (evangelistic Explosion) so I doubt I am making what below sound explainable.
mainstream christianity believes that we are born with sin in our DNA from adam, but jesus was born with it in his DNA from mary and he is fully man, fully god, but still perfect, and died on the cross to get back what was stolden from God, the earth. Stan took the earth when man sinned and ate the apple and he said that eve will crush satan's heel thru mary Gen 3:15 thru Jesus dying on the cross, thus giving the earth back to God and giving us teh chance to be saved by Jesus taking on our sins.

What? know ye not that your body is the TEMPLE of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

These are two different religions-----how can you judge what one says and means when you are using another religion to verify or contradict it?

Your Christian viewpoint that we are all sinful by nature from birth........Christianity is the only religion that teaches this. And, I cannot see how anyone could actually believe it. It is from old church doctrine that used this as one of the ways to enslave the minds of followers.
