I kno its called sleep paralysis but i hate it. today when it happend i was looking around in my room unable to move. i happend to look at my spiderman picture on my wall and next to it i saw a whole bunch of moving spiders. and no i was not dreaming. i wasn't scared or anything but it was interesting and ironic. but the spiders were not there after i came out of the sleep paralyisis. Anyone ever had similar situations with sleep paralisis, like seeing images or anything ? Thankyou

Dreams can be controlled by force of will. It is difficult, but I have mastered the ability to do so after many years of practice. If you become adept at controlling your dreams, it will be easy to focus that same energy on any after-dream imagery you see in your room.

Start by recognizing you're in a dream. Once you make that realization, make a conscious effort to alter your dream's storyline, say by turning right at the next corner you're walking to instead of left, or by purchasing some chocolate in a store when you would normally buy some gum. It sounds silly, but when you successfully do little things like this it's only a short step from these things to "I sense that if I go down this alley, I will get stabbed, so I will turn around and go elsewhere...."

Trust me, it works. The only time I have nightmares is when the bad things happen completely by surprise -- this occurs in my life maybe once every 5 years or so....

I can't help you with your after-sleep paralysis, but if you can stop the after-imagery from happening, not being able to move really won't matter.....

Seeing things is called Hypnogoggia. It's harmless and it goes away after a minute or two. Basically, there's a sequence of things that happens when you sleep, and hypnogoggia and sleep paralysis are both instances that your sequence is a little haywire at the end. Your dream sequence isn't quite turning off when you wake up -- that's hypnogoggia. And sleep paralysis is just that your body shuts itself off to dream (lik everyone else), so you don't hurt yourself, and in your case it doesn't quite turn back on before you wake up, unlike most people.

I always have where like, I'll be sleeping, and my ming will be completely awake, im fully alert i hear everything...the only thing is, i cant move my body, all i can do is breath and i can barely do that...i cant move a finger, i cant open an eye, IT SCARES THE CRAP OUT OF ME! Until I somehow take like half an hour to gain every ounce of strength I have to thrust my body upward. Its pretty knarley man, no joke.
