Hello!

I have a recipe for a butter-based yellow cake that I would like to add more sugar to for a sweeter taste. What else do I need to add to balance out the additional sugar?

Thanks!

Just slowly add sugar by the spoonful and taste the batter until you enjoy the sweetness. Cooking is better when you are willing to mess things up in order to learn YOUR style.

maybe dont add more sugar but add some honey as a subsitute for extra sweetness...to much plain white sugar may become sickening sweet

Do what the first person said to do. That's what I would do.
