I have Type 2 Diabetes, Fibromyalgia,and Menopause,?

I am having problems, with all of these , and wondered what doctor to see,to help my life more bearable.

I suggest going to a health-food store/pharmacy, usually they carry vitamins that can help reduce symptoms naturally. Usually the employees of these places are very helpful and can guide you to what will suit you best. Natural supplements work with your body and are better for chronic conditions such as the ones you mentioned.

Have you been tested for hepatitis c? HCV can cause type 2 diabetes and fibromyalgia (extrahepatic diseases). It has also been thought to induce an earlier menopause, but if you have menopause and are in the right age range that is just part of being a woman.

I would ask the doctor to test you for antibodies for HCV. DO NOT allow the doctor to simply rely on a standard blood lab!! Liver panels have been proven time and time again with HCV infection to not be a reliable source since the natural occurance with HCV infection doesn't always increase these enzymes (alt and ast).

Many folks are walking around with HCV and dont' even know it. Many more do not know how they got HCV.

Simply put? Everyone has at least one risk factor for HCV and that is all it takes!

Since you have these diagnoses, I assume that you have been seeing a doctor. You should be seeing an internal medicine doctor (internist) who may refer you to other specialists e.g. an endocrinologist. You may also have a gynecologist for your female problems.

I am guessing that you are overweight with poor cardiovascular health. Am I right?
