My girlfriend has two grown sons one is on the east coast, and the other is home for the holidays, I only see my girl on weekends as she works in another town 3 hours away, but comes home on the weekends. The past few weekends she has had to be home with the son and can't take five minuets to see me, can any one tell me whats up?

In answer to your question, yes, grown sons are more important than a new love. They are her children, always will be, get used to it.
I don't know what's going on with your girlfriend and her son, but maybe he's going through a rough patch.
If she's still calling you and sending you e-mails, she's probably still interested. It doesn't take long to call someone to let you know that you're thinking about them.
If she isn't even doing that though, she could be ditching you...
Still, don't take my word for it. Call her, see what's up. Maybe express concern for her son, that could soften her up. :)

Her children will always come first if she is a good mother. It doesn't matter if they are 5 or 50. You should see this as a positive sign in her. It shows she is caring. Don't stress, she is just trying to spend time with them, she sees them less than she sees you, and they are her own flesh and blood. Don't worry, she still loves you too! Just accept that she has a family, if you truely love her this shouldn't be so hard.
