Kristie,
As a professional hairdresser I can tell you the best thing for your damaged hair is Nexus products. They are salon quality products that have recently begun showing up in grocery stores. They have a full line of products available. Read the labels and instructions to see which of them is best for your hair. There are several products, not just one that you should use. If you get confused, go to a salon that sells them and ask for their advice. They will help you bring your hair back to life again. But treat it gently for a while, okay?

Try to deep condition your hair at least once a week for about ten to fifteen minutes. Use CHI Silk Infusion ($14 at Beauty First) at the ends of your hair. Also, buy a diffuser if you don't already have one. Get a hair cut every 6 months.

Hair cut, Use a leave in spray conditioner everyday. do not use products with alcohol and use heat products sparingly. I put my hair in a bun while it dries so my hair can soak in the moisture.

Infusium leave in treatment. And, ugh gross, cow placenta. But it works. Oh, if someone says mayonnaise, use with care. It's hard to wash out, STINKS, and turns even worse in the sun.
