The Prayer of Serenity
God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can
and the Wisdom to know the difference
We all need that Wisdom

I remember you. It seems that you are in constant need of help and guidance, and are in a perpetual state of being lost. And guess what? That is perfectly normal for your age! I will say this one more time: You are too young to try to take on the responsibilities of being a preacher. You have to learn how to live life and deal with reality before you can start telling people how to deal with their own. Look at your own profile and look at your own list of questions. Is this someone that you would feel comfortable going to for spiritual advice? You are not ready for this, hun. Blessed Be

There is nothing that you can do. Fortunately for you, you have a God that does things for those who are helpless.
Isaiah 25
4 You have been a refuge for the poor,
a refuge for the needy in his distress,
a shelter from the storm
and a shade from the heat.
For the breath of the ruthless
is like a storm driving against a wall
5 and like the heat of the desert.
You silence the uproar of foreigners;
as heat is reduced by the shadow of a cloud,
so the song of the ruthless is stilled.
6 On this mountain the LORD Almighty will prepare
a feast of rich food for all peoples,
a banquet of aged wine—
the best of meats and the finest of wines.
7 On this mountain he will destroy
the shroud that enfolds all peoples,
the sheet that covers all nations;
8 he will swallow up death forever.
The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears
from all faces;
he will remove the disgrace of his people
from all the earth.
The LORD has spoken.
Hmm! I guess God is looking out for you. So why worry? Will things suddenly get better because you worry about them? They don't for me!
I trusted God today. I was short money, I told no one that knows me, and He provided after I told Him about it. I told myself to trust Him amidst many doubts. He took care of me, and I have what I need, just like He said. Exactly like He said.
3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
( Psalm 37 )
I guess He does what He said He would do.
Selah!
( Think of that! )
So what was that you were saying? How about Jesus? Is He something or what?!

Goodness! And I thought I was going through a rough patch!
In your heart, you already know the answer to your own question; and I've noticed by the answers you've been giving out to others in here tonight, show that you do know God, and you are on the right track.
God hears you, every word, and He knows your motives are right.
God has many good and blessed days in store for you, and He knows that He has not given the abilities He has given to you to a lost cause.
Be strong for your family and friends during this harsh and bitter day, for soon the sun will come out shine on you again.

You need to take some English skills in writing if you want to be a preacher. Lucky you claimed to be a YOUNG preacher.
Dying is part of living. It gives a chance for another new born to have the resources of this planet. People dying is a good thing , a happy thing. Rejoice instead of being sad.
That is the problem of humanity. They feel sad when one dies. They should be happy when one dies if they die a good life and older age.
You would be sad only if one dies young like Bruce Lee. I miss his movies. What a shame and waste.
When my father died 7 years ago, no one in our family or friend cry but I saw the other family cried like hell. It was a funny moment because you have one family crying like crazy and on the other side my family no one shed a tear.
The reason was my father was someone no one want to be near him. He was a gambler and would gamble our food money in Reno so the casinos make more money. In his coffin, he ask for his 6 dices so he can shoot crap in heaven and a watch to see his time. This is true. I laugh sometimes just thinking about it.
The funny part during the funeral was the other family was crying so loud and they looked at us all and no one was crying or shed a tear. They were crying really bad, tears everywhere. Their father died I guess because of the picture they were holding. It was funny because all of them were looking at us. One of my brother is a died hard Christian as well. I'm a true atheist. True atheists are those who can see religions are human creations because of the way rleigions are written and how they contradict the concept itself and also very silly if one really think about religions.

The soul that turns to God for its help, its support, its power, by daily, earnest prayer, will have noble aspirations, clear perceptions of truth and duty, lofty purposes of action, and a continual hungering and thirsting after righteousness. By maintaining a connection with God, we shall be enabled to diffuse to others, through our association with them, the light, the peace, the serenity, that rule in our hearts. The strength acquired in prayer to God, united with persevering effort in training the mind in thoughtfulness and care-taking, prepares one for daily duties and keeps the spirit in peace under all circumstances.
Religion must begin with emptying and purifying the heart, and must be nurtured by daily prayer.
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification. 1 Thessalonians 4:3.
Sanctification is not the work of a moment, an hour, or a day. It is a continual growth in grace. We know not one day how strong will be our conflict the next. Satan lives, and is active, and every day we need to cry earnestly to God for help and strength to resist him. As long as Satan reigns we shall have self to subdue, besetments to overcome, and there is no stopping place, there is no point to which we can come and say we have fully attained.
The Christian life is constantly an onward march. Jesus sits as a refiner and purifier of His people; and when His image is perfectly reflected in them, they are perfect and holy, and prepared for translation. A great work is required of the Christian. We are exhorted to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Here we see where the great labor rests. There is a constant work for the Christian.
The grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 1:14.

In light of everything, anything I might come up with to say will only sound like platitudes. But the truth is, I really do feel for you. As a preacher you carry a heavy load and I can only imagine how tired you must feel at times. Just remember that it is during times of tribulation, that our faith and character are built. God is only a prayer away and he knows how heavy your burden is right now. Let Him help you carry it. God Bless You!

Ryan, as a "young preacher", you will have many things to come against you. I know that you are aware of this! The only refuge...prayer! Prayer is our tool when we are down troddened!
I am pleased that you posted this as I want you to know, I will be praying for you. I am the daughter of a minister/pastor and I understand all you are saying and to me.... much prayer is needed for a fellow Christian!
Be encouraged that God is with you and will give you His wisdom to endure all things....if we just ask! I will be asking God to be with you, guide you and keep you lifted up, for His Names sake!
Blessings,
gail

Hey Ryan. So sorry mate about all these bad things that are happening to you. I dont KNOW why things are this bad, but I would like to encourage you to seek refuge in Lord. Find your center and strength in Him. The bible says in His presense there is fullness of joy. Everything thing you need is in Him. Just hold on to Him mate, He says He will never leave nor forsake you. And even though things are so bad right now He says Ryan you are still the apple of My eye - I delight in you and I love you. Keep your eyes in Him, dont loose heart, cast your eyes on Me and Me alone. And just like peter when he walked on water you will walk over this. Only when you look on the water you will start to sink, but as long you focus on Me I shall see you through this.
