not really. I don't see why it would. Do you wash your hair? Do you wash your body? That's all that matters. It's just the way most people shower. You're not the same as everyone else; you're unique, good for you.

I think most people wash their face first simply from habit and possibly instinct. After all our parents normally started with our hair in the bath to get it out of the way. Commercials also depict this all too primitive relation. Every "good" body wash commercial features someone washing their hair first.
Other then that I think it is pure habit and after all the head does come first, but do what works for you.

Megabux,
Like Anna, I wash my hair first because I need to leave the conditioner in for a while before rinsing it. So it makes more sense to wash my hair, put on the conditioning product, then wash the rest of me, and rinse out the conditioner. That order also allows the conditioning agent to soften my skin while I rinse it out, too. I get double the benefit.

It is just faster. The soap / shampoo that run down hill needs to be washed off the body next anyway. If you wash the body first then you do it a second time rinsing of the run off from thr top.

If you wash your hair, let the shampoo sit while you wash part of your body, then rinse and put on conditioner and do the rest of your body it will give both the shampoo and the conditioner time to do their job, right?

It doesn't matter wither you wash your hair first or wash your self. People are just use to the routine that they wash thier hair first. I mean, me, I wash my self first then I wash my hair. That's just my routine for the past 12 years

i think that if you wash your body before your hair...you body will then get dirty from the stuff that was in your hair. kind of like rinsing something...you dont go from bottom to top because of that reason.

my grandma always told me to start at the top (hair) so that way the dirt from the hair is not runnin over the clean spots where as if you start at with your body all the grim in your hair will run down your clean body and its not so clean anymore
