Well, I guess it's illegal on Answers to post pictures of snow. Here is a question, why the hell did I get a violation e-mail? For what? Here is the e-mail:

I should probably ask the question, what is wrong with Yahoo? I know for a fact that other people post things just like this.
I agree with you as well, there are tons of underaged girls that post, 'Am I pretty', any it's always creepy to see a 40 year old man say, 'yes you're cute.' Guess what, these question do not get pulled.
Before I posted the question, I realized it was not a true question. However, I did not realize it would recieve such back lash. Stupidity on my part, but still, it's just snow!

I pushed YA for an answer on something like this and they told me anything that was not a question is considered "chatting" and that's not what YA is about. They want to maintain their "high quality". (They also took 20 points away from me!)
SO....am I HOT OR NOT???

Most of the time, I don't deserve my violations. I got a violation from a question I asked a few months ago for chatting, and it was a question on if the Cowboys would beat the Giants in the Playoffs. I even once got 10-15 violations in 1 day, and I thought I would lose this account. Trolls report things for no reason what so ever. They thinks it's fun but for everyone else, it's a total hell.

You may want to back off this kind of question, too. Whoever is doing this would probably be happy to know how much they have gotten under your skin. I get reported and deleted for the most innocent things and after a while, you just say, "Oh well. Their loss," and move on. Take a few days off from posting questions and you might fade into the woodwork from these stalkers. Some people ask for an opinion and then want revenge when you don't commission them to do your family portrait or something, so they do this to get back at you.
It's been a year now, but I was reported for so many "violations" that Yahoo! blocked me from using ANY PART OF YAHOO! AT ALL! They said that it was a permanent block and tough noogies. I called them up and spoke to a real human person. I referred them to a dozen or more answers where people had said, "God bless you for your kindness," in the dental section. I sounded like a reasonable human being. It took them about a month to review my appeal, but they reinstated me. There are other sites who offered to PAY me to do what I was doing here for free and I almost said, "Nail me," to Yahoo!, only I was actually thinking of a different but similar type of fastening hardware. I had a lot of friends here, though, and I didn't want to be cut off from them
Besides, without Yahoo! Answers, I might get way too much sleep!

Here is my take on it:
If an question gets reported then a red flag goes up at the yahoo police headquarters and a little old peter falk character does a quick scan of your last five or 10 questions to get the jest of where you are coming from. To be fair this individual between takes of I love Lucy reruns and leave it to beaver deems it to be verifyable bad answer or borderline nutty but plain jane vanilla no need to call out the mounties kind of question. If the question is deemed unsatisfactory then it is bumped up furthur up the chain to be filtered down to the root cause of the said alleged THOUGHT involked by the player(that's you) After they bounce around the question before a Sanhedron of 12 or more semi professional parental consent volunteers, then you either get the proverbial threatening we have removed this question as offensive.... to the old file 13 ,start all over again, and try to be nice in the forum, kind of email

Ok the further you go into answers - like top contributor or top ten list the more low lifes one upsets. Take note of the ones always give negitive answers (like the one above - rant) then just block them. You know the ones that are mean to 14 year old girls or never say anything positive. If you block them they can't open or report your questions.
I have had lots a violations do I care no, I just fiquire out who it is then cut them off at the knees. I have even asked silly questions to weed them out sometimes.
Some people think they are policemen or something, block them and let them mix with the others like them.
It's not hot enough here to want any snow, ask me in Feb maybe, love your answers, friendlyness and style. Thanks dude!!

HAHAHA!! That's jacked up... specially given flickr is part of Yahoo!!!
Some people are jerks?? I don't see why you can't post that, granted it isn't a "question" .. but its no different than teenager's posting "who's prettier" with photos of 12 year olds... which IS a question, though I would think more of a violation to be dealt with than what you have here.
Maybe next time post it as a question "Have you seen snow lately" .. lol .. or what do you think of my photography skills?
**edit**
Nice photos by the way!!!! Hubby is a budding photographer, and he does alot on flickr.

I've seen worse not get pulled, there are even a good many offensive avatars...it wasn't a question but to pull it? I guess a couple of people must just live to create trouble for no reason.
I guess it's means we just need to be sure to phrase things as a question like "Does anyone need to see a picture of random ice crystals to cool off on a scorcher of a day?"

You got a violation for not asking a question.
You made a statement and put a question mark at the end of it.
