OK, I always heard that you believe 144,000 are going to HEAVEN and that's it, there's no hope for the rest of us.
Do you actually believe that all of us who believe will be with God after the resurection, and that the 144,000 are just "extra special" (for lack on my part of a better word)?

Hi hon, Most of mankind was never supposed to go to heaven.

If heaven was our destination why do we fight so hard to get well and take that next breath?
Because life on earth was written on our hearts.
Adam and Eve were told to multiply and fill the earth......so humans are supposed to live, laugh, and enjoy being here.

That's only the ones in the heavens according to Revelation chapters 7 and 14.The rest will remain on the Earth in accordance with Ecclesiasties 1:4.If you read Isaiah 45;18-22,he promises that he did not create the Earth for nothing.If Adam and Eve lived in Paradise in Eden,why can't we?The 144,000 are hand picked by God to serve as co-rulers with his son(their King),much like the President and Congress.Jesus Apostles were selected the same way,based on their willingness to do God's Will and their appreciation for spiritual things.James and John were Fishermen,Peter owned two fishing boats and was married(Jesus resurected his mother in law at Matt. 8:14)Luke was a Doctor,Matthew was a tax collector,and the rest had regular jobs to support themselves.But,they dropped everything to be with Jesus.And Jesus commended them for it.How badly would you like to be instructed in God's ways by Jesus in the Heavens,and those remaining on the Earth?For Paul wrote that Spirit creatures cannot reside on the Earth,anymore than we could live in the heavens,at 1 Corinthians 15:40.

According to the Bible 144,000 are going to Heaven to be co-rulers with Christ.

Does that leave the rest of mankind with no hope?
No.

What was God's original purpose for the Earth? What were Adam and Eve commanded to do?

That's were mankind was MEANT to live and that's where I want my family to be!

Never believe what you "hear" about Jehovah's Witnesses. We are no secret society. Come visit us at our meeting places (Kingdom Halls), no money required. Or invite us to speak with you when we come to your door, or meet you on the street.

If you want to know what we believe, you have only to ask a real, live Jehovah's Witness, or to read our official publications, which are also free of charge.

We even have an official Internet site, which some have already listed here.

When Jehovah created Adam and Eve he created them here on earth in a beautiful home. They were to fill the earth ans subdue it (Gen 1:27,28) Yes, God wanted the earth to be a Paradise for all of his children to live.

The Good News is that his purposed for the earth has not changed. Yes those who are ruining the earth will be taken away and in time paradise restored, and all those that have listen to the Word of the True God Jehovah will be there.

Ps. 37:9-ll

Well, first lets clear up the 'no hope for the rest of us' part. Those who remain on the earth will have a major job. The earth will need to be cleansed, those coming back(resurrected) are going to need to be helped, taught. Homes will need to be build, etc, etc.

The job of the 144k is to sit with Christ as priests and judges. Who better to sit in judgment along with Jesus than people who know what it's like to be human and to be subject to all the failings we have, the way we think, feel, etc.

How lucky to be on the earth forever, transforming it into the paradise it was always meant to be. Welcoming back our loved ones, and those who came before. Personally, this appeals to me so much more than any thoughts of heaven.

And yes, the 144k are 'special' I guess. But we are not loved less. And before it even comes up, NO all the 144k are not Jehovah's Witnesses, but all are/were witnesses for Jehovah.

The 144,000 (the Holy ones) are selected to reign with Jesus Christ in Heaven. They are given the authority to Judge because they are the only ones (righteous ones) to be judged.

Revelation 20:4
I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

1 Corinthians 6:2,3
2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world?
3 Do you not know that we will judge angels?

Notice what Jesus said about those in Heaven.

Matthew 22:14
"For many are invited, but few are chosen."

And about the rest that are not selected to goto Heaven.

Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

You are correct. According to them, there is no hope for us becuase we sleep forever. They twist Ecc. 9:5 to support this false teaching.

The 144,000 are actually Jewish men who turn into preachers on steroids during the tribulation.

And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:
of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed. Rev. 7:4-8

The rest of jw's who arn't special (really deceived) supposedly live on paradise earth. That will be a little hard on the day Jesus Christ! They'll be smoked.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 2 Pet. 3:10
