It's hard, I understand your feelings of frustration about people not listening and understanding the dangers posed by their pets at times. It's the mentality that others should tolerate by ill behaved children. Whether their kids are of the four or two legged variety. You have done a justice to your neighbor as well as others in the neighborhood.
I have to commend you on your caring and responsibility attitude. No everyone would follow through with their "threats" in order to make their neighborhood safer for those of us that are responsible pet owner.
Just know you did the right thing and the frustration comes from caring. Sometimes caring too much. But don't stop!!!!
Continue caring and just know you can't change the whole world. But you can make a difference in your own little corner of it.
Thanks again and continue in your efforts. Prop your feet up and know you did the right thing.

You did what you had to do. This was an irresponsible woman who might have been TEACHING the dog to behave this way, as it is really not a natural behavior for a well socialized animal. NOW, it is necessary to FOLLOW UP by reporting to the SAME authorities that, in your opinion, this dog was not at fault, nor do you feel that it is a lost cause dog, but you DO feel that the owner is incapable of properly training and caring for her dog. You owe the owner NOTHING you gave her fair warning, but you do owe the DOG. Your word as a trainer will carry weight with the authorities and might make the difference between a euthanized dog and one that can be placed. Perhaps you can offer your services, or even adopt the dog? Please, don't feel bad, you did the right thing!

The lady is obviously a bad pet owner if she is letting her aggressive dog loose to roam the neighborhood. That is not being responsible at all. You did the right thing reporting her- she needs to get her dog properly trained and keep it in a fenced in yard or inside at all times.

Realize that you can't save all dogs from an idiotic owner, and hope that before the animals are taken from her that no one else is hurt or they come across a child or elderly person that is unable to defend themself! You did the best you could for those dogs but the owner obviously didnt care! Good for you for calling it in!

You did the right thing not only could the dogs have harmed someone or another animal but they could also have gotten hurt or run over. You just have to realize that the woman obviously does not care, but just remember that you did what you could to help and unfortunatly there are alot of people who have pets and don't even care or bother. Offering to train her dogs was beyond nice and you had no reason to, it is not the dogs fault or yours that she doesn't care. She is the only one at fault here.

You did the right thing by reporting it. You may have saved a life. Unfortunately owners learn by the misfortunes that their dogs live.

You offered her a choice, the choice to correct her dogs, which was a good one. She chose not to accept your offer, not the right thing, that is very frustrating, but not something you could control. Don't waste too much energy on this one.

Not only should you NOT be sorry, it was your responsibility to report a dangerous situation, and you should be proud that you had the courage to do it - many people ignore these occurances because they do not want to get involved.
Keep up the good work.

you did what you had too! if she dose not care, then she dose not care about her dogs either! they could get hurt running lose, or hurt someone really bad. bad owners make bad dogs. maybe the dogs will be lucky enough to be taken & find a better home. :)

I wish you had been around when my former neighbors dogs attacked my cat - on my front porch.... we had warned her and talked to her... unfortunately - her dogs had to take the hit... one put down - one declared 'vicious'... for her stupidity...some people just don't get it. She is not allowed to have dogs in our county any longer......... thankfully.
