Good question, and it will most likely get a lot of answers saying "why would anyone willingly choose hell?" My question is why would anyone want to spend eternity with a God who would threaten them with such a thing? That's not the God I know and love. Religion is a bunch of hooey.

(and why hasn't Mainworry been reported? Huh? He is threat to anyone who takes sprituality seriously and to mankind in general.)

I don't know that Christians assume that everyone wants to go to heaven. I certainly do not believe that. But I do think that it is reasonable to choose eternal life with Christ, once a person understands what He has to offer.

Given the choice and the understanding, I finally chose Jesus.

I think penguins will go to heaven.
Heaven is beautiful, with many a cod. Although you DO know that penguins eat alot of krill and shrimp. (Is that kosher?)
I would like to meet you there one day.

It is said that when Christ freed the souls from Hades, only Cain, Judas and Herod were left behind. So imagine all the barbarians he freed. There's got to be some kind of Valhalla. The Vikings couldn't be all wrong.

They use "free will" to let God off the hook for "original sin" and condemning most everyone to hell for "sin".

They truly can't believe that everyone isn't lining up to be Christians and actually reject the religion after "hearing and reading The Word". They think it's the cat's meow and everyone else should think that way too.

Not for me, thanks but it does seem to work for some of the sincere ones.

it seems that yeahitsme is in need of some witnessing of the glories of COD.

i don't think the fundie understands the disconnect between having free will, and willfully giving it up for a promise of salvation. salvation theology is the ultimate crap shoot. it's more fun to actually shoot craps.

You are deceived!

Everyone certainly doesn't want to go to Heaven and I don't know anyone who assumes that or has said that but YOU.

It is very obvious from a lot people's behavior that they have not chosen Jesus and have no desire to go to Heaven!

God doesn't want us to be puppets! He gives us a freewill to choose life and Him or we can choose death which it seems many people out there want by choosing bad behavior and rejecting God!.

I sure don't think everyone wants to go to Heaven! An awful lot of people want to live and let live and let the chips fall where they may.

As for me I choose life. I choose God, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, God of All, Sweet Jesus, Adonia, Yahweh, El Shaddia, Rose of Sharon, Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Rajah, Our Provider and Healer! I AM that I AM!

I don't assume everyone wants to go to heaven. I carry out the responsibility given to me by my Creator.

Yes, it is. Of course as you may know, I'm not a typical Christian. If you would rather go to Valhalla, the Elysian Fields, Disneyland, or any other place feel free. :) (((IDWF)))

Heaven seems boring, Hell seems painful, and purgatory seems like too much work to get somewhere boring.

I choose death. (Not right now, just eventually...)

EDIT: Looks like Mainworry is back with a new account.

Mr. Worry: Just because people disagree with your religious beliefs doesn't mean they're "spiritual terrorists."

Perfect people make me feel...I dunno...crappy! An eternity with perfect people sounds like hell (pun intended!)

I like flaws and quirks etc etc...existence would be boring without them...
