Who are these 100 people they survey? How do they select a good cross section of people for this? If I want them to survey ME, what do I do?

I am totally serious, by the way. I was watching the good ol' Feud today and realized I never knew where these elusive "100 people surveyed" came from...

I think they are audience members for the show. I used to sit in game show audiences all the time and there was a lot of time between shows (they tape 5 shows in a day)...plenty of time to pass out questionnaires or take a poll, etc.

I think they do these surveys by telephone, like they probably also do with "Power of 10."

the polls are always conducted at bus stations ,when the press of schedules gets then to answer quickly.
