In a way that is true. That is why the LIGHTEST MEAL of the day should be supper.

What do you do after dinner in most cases? Sit down and watch t.v. and a couple hours later go to bed. You have consumed calories and are not burning them off. So your body stores those calories in the form of body fat.

Make breakfast you biggest meal followed by lunch then have a light snack for supper.

Front load your days with complex, high fiber carbs and protien. Eat fruits and veggies for lunch and again, a light snack for supper.

It can.

After you eat and feel stuffed, you may feel tempted to take a nap, but DO NOT!! If you look the anatomy of the digestive system, the general direction is DOWN towards your booty (and gravity). If you lay down, you're slowing down that process and along with it, your metabolism slows down as well. Your body isn't using its energy properly (energy used to digest burns calories). This alone will give your body more time to store useless fat that should've been burned during digestion.
