Depends what state. 16 is the age of consent in many states. People freak out so quickly. Honestly, a 70 year old and an 18 year old is OK, but a 16 year old going on 17 hooking up with someone in their early 20s? We can have our tastes about it, fine. But back in the "good ol days", 16 year olds were fine to breed with. Even much younger which IS pedo in all states. Biologically speaking, they are quite mature for breeding. They're not a child. However, the guy's an idiot to be caught up in all that stuff. Even if the 16 year old is more mature than many ditzy 18 year olds (which is not uncommon) -- any wrong move, any regret -- you're toast. And society doesn't like it, as nowadays, you're not a real adult until 25.

Really depends.
I think the issue of being 7 years apart is a matter of life experiences. He is in High School. He is most likely interested in sports, growing up, finding himself still. You are 24 - you could be worldly - or if you have not been doing anything since high school - still mostly a kid. In any case the relationship will have 7 years of more experieinces and friends of widely different ages to account for. It is awkward to go out if you are in different places in your lives./

If it's legal in your state, go for it. Although, be prepared for an emotional letdown. He is 17. All he might want is a good time and nothing else. You are 24. Your age and maturity may contradict with each others needs.

You can the thing is do you really want to do that. I mean look at all the bad things that come of that. I mean if you love each other, don't let age seperate you. Dating and marrying are two different things. So sure you guys can date.
