My husband and I have thought long and hard about him joining the army reserves, and he wants to as a service to his country. We currently have 2 children. i just found out today that I am expecting a third child. Will this matter? I know in the Army, not reserve it says not more than 2 children, is it different for reservists? Thanks All. God Bless.

There is no restriction on how many children an Army Soldier can have....whoever told you that was mistaken. We had 3, and I have known literally hundreds of other Army soldiers with 3 or more children over the 28 years I've been married to my Army husband. Neither is there a limit for reserve and National Guard soldiers (I know plenty of large Army Reserve families, too).
So, there is nothing for you to worry about. Thank you and please thank your husband for his consideration in choosing to serve our country.

If there is a child limit concerning enlistment, I am not familiar with one or aware of anyone having difficulty getting into the Guard or Reserves. I do know 3 will not matter, I had a lot of soldiers in my
Guard unit with a lot more than 3 kids. When I was active I do not remember anyone having any trouble based on the number of dependents they had. Best of Luck and a Happy New Year.

My husband is in the reserves. He has 2 children already, and we plan on having some together... There are several people in his unit with 3 or more children. THere is no limit, and I've never heard of a limit either.

It doesn't matter how many children you have in the Army or Army Reserve
