Girls, or guys with sisters: Were they/you spanked between the ages of 11 and15?

wel i have kids those ages and yes i still spank them..grounding them from everything only works for a while lol..on my 15 and 16 yr old spanking is for severe things. but my 11 yr old gets it quite often

I never got spanked after the age of 10 but getting spanked till about 11 or 12 I would say is ok. Anything after that age I would say no. They are in there teenager years. They dont need a spanking.

All 4 children my parents had (3 boys, 1 girl) were spanked until around 13 or 14. Through the end of middle school or thereabouts. It's really more of a maturity thing and less of an age thing.

Last spanking was at the age of 12. When I quit crying and actually starting laughing at my parents, they knew it was not working anymore - on to more serious groundings and privileges taken away.

I don't ever remember my sister getting spanked - she was the good one.

My brother's last spanking (he's 4 years older than me) was at the age of 10. He too laughed and kept mouthing off - a good sign it doesn't work anymore.

We all are 27, 28 and 31 years old. I'm the youngest.

EDIT: I did get my face slapped at the age of 15. I told my mom I hated her and mouthed off - my dad instantly slapped my face for it - THAT made a point.

The last time my mom spanked me was when I said something very rude to her when I was 12. I knew then that I deserved the punishment, but it was awkward because she spanked me on the bare (as she always did). That was much more humiliating than painful. My elder daughter is 11, and I still spank her when necessary, but I think that I'll have to switch to other forms of punishment before long.

Seems a little old, I think my sister and I probably quit getting spanked around 9 or 10, but I guess it depends on the child.

When I was growing up and in raising my boys...no by that age we/they didn't get spanked. By then you should have other forms of discipline in use. Shoot just the right look by then should be enough. My boys weren't spanked after about the age of five. Why not? Because it wasn't the right form of discipline or punishment by then.

I never did, but my son did when he was 13.

My son raised a hand to me and was going to hit me soon after he came home from a visit with his father (and he was always awful when he came back from his dad's). My husband at the time, grabbed him by the scruff of the neck, hauled him into his room and spanked him.

My son about died of embarrassment because my husband was very mild mannered and never laid a finger on my kids and was always fair.

I think my son learned a lesson. he was bigger than me at the time, and could have hurt me if he really was going to hit me?
