What evidence do you provide that Jesus didn't follow the law of God of the Old Testament? He did indeed follow the Old Testament law, fully. God's law is what defines sin (1 John 3:4). It would be self-contradictory to say he didn't keep God's law yet never sinned; not keeping God's law IS sin (Romans 7:7).

He most certainly went by the law - he established it!! He just didn't obey the religious parts of it that were added by priests. The priests forgot the true purpose of the law - obedience to God. They turned it into a power play by scrutinizing every small thing that a person did that could "possibly be a violation" Like when Jesus got food from a field on Sabbath. Jesus never sinned - he just kept the true law in his heart. This seemed sinful to the people.

Jesus PERFECTLY upheld the Law of the Old Testament. In so doing he fulfilled it. Completed it. Abolished it.

Jesus never once broke a Law of the Mosaic Law Code. He did, though, FINISH it.

After Jesus death, resurrection and ascension to heaven it was no longer a requirement for followers of God to obey the Law Code. They were under a new law, a new covenant. Once based on love and not on written code.

(Edit:

Realize, too, that many of the teachings of the priests were NOT part of the written Law given to Moses and the Jews - there were many things they were requiring of the people that God had NOT commanded. These things Jesus spoke against. But he was perfect and never sinned against the Law of God. Not once.)

Jesus did go by the 10 Commandments which he said he did not come to change. If you are talking of the Mosaic Law (the covenent with God)He came to fulfill it and so started the new covenant with God. It did do away with some of the old ways, but that was a good thing.

Jesus did not go against the word of God. Jesus Knew early on that his realm was not of this world. The law back then obeyed by the people was the Law of The Ruling King,(Or the Laws of Man) Good Question

He went by God's law, and by doing so he did not sin. The law of God is different than the laws of Moses or the priests. The priests said it was sinful to heal people on the Sabbath, Jesus said it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath. Jesus followed the laws of God, not the laws of priests.

The law in the OT leaded up to Jesus and when Jesus arrived he done away with that law.

He obeyed everything God his Father told Him. He spent hours praying to know God's will and even when it cost His very life, He obeyed. Sin is disobedience to God's will.
