I woke up this morning and felt SO sick to my stomach. It keeps coming in waves and I have a feeling I'm getting sick. :( What are some ways to reduce nausea?
Also, this may sound silly, but is there a way to stop myself from becoming sick or to allow it to pass as quickly as possible? Is it better to keep eating well and moving around or better to just get some rest?
Thanks for any suggestions. :)

Thanks everyone. I haven't eaten yet. I was actually in bed most of the day. Right now the nausea isn't so bad but it does come back in strong waves. :( I will try to eat something though that is easy on my stomach. :)

Thanks, yeah I have acid reflux disease but this is different. I had a little bit of soup (mostly the broth) and some water. I think I'm gonna get some rest. Thanks everyone. :)

One natural way to reduce nausea is with ginger. Even if you can only sip on ginger ale it may help. Get some rest, sweetie and go easy on your tummy. Crackers, white toast and chicken broth until your stomach settles. Feel better soon.

One great natural way to treat nausea is with ginger. They sell ginger tea, ginger ale, or you can buy them in pill form. You can buy them wherever they sell herbal supplements. I use them as an alternative to motion sickness pills. There are no side effects that I found except you get a funny taste in your mouth after you burp. Or, there's always saltine crackers and you could also try Coca Cola. Back in the day they used to sell the syrup to settle an upset stomach. If you do try that stir the soda some to make it a little flat.
For the second question, you might want to talk to a Dr. cause it might be your stomach acids. Or maybe take a look at your diet and try making some changes.
Good luck and I hope you feel better.

You don't want to move around any more than you can help while experiencing that kind of nausea. I've found that ginger tea, mint tea, ginger ale, and Coke Classic with crushed ice- in small doses rather than all at once- are great for settling down upset stomachs, unless you truly are VERY ill indeed.
Feel better, Honey. Go lay down.

Keep your mind on something else, Take deep breaths and slowly sip water. Lay down onm the couch and have your mom rub your stomach gently, but put a gabage can by you just in case. Also, have you eaten anyting today? If not try eating something easy to handle and drink ginger ale. I know from experience that it is very hard to to sleep with an upset stomachb but try closeing your eyes and sleeping. If you have eaten, then did you eat something that was over the exparation date? Try these things, And i hope i help, naseua is the worst! Get well

Best is to get some rest. Are you also vomiting? See a doctor if it continues, you may be pregnant. If not then there's meds available to control your nausea.

You will just have to wait and let it pass. There isnt much you can do. Just eat a bland diet (toast, crackers, etc) if you can keep it down. Sprite, gatorade, water will help you as well.
I would do what you feel comfortable doing. If you feel you need to rest, then do rest.
