These people are wrong.
You dont have to have sex with them..
Friends with benefits can be anything from kissing to having sex..
But pretty much, you do stuff with eachother, and arent dating.

Its when two friends do stuff that couples do (such as making out or having sex etc.) with no strings attached....they arent dating

you sleep with someone, but have no rights over who they see, no strings and they do not have to be faithful to you at all. just friends with "benefits."
