My 21 month old just hit 25 pounds after 6 months of Pediasure supplements. She lost weight because of severe acid reflux, but I found the Pediasure to be a miracle for her. She could eat when she wanted to, or not eat. I did not have to "force" her or worry about high fat foods or other bad eating habits. I could just serve her regular meals and she ate with us. the only difference was she got 4oz of Pediasure with her snacks (10asm, 3pm, 8pm) and if she really had a bad eating day, she had it with meals. She loved it, it added extra calories and nutrition, and it did not mess up her eating habits.
she was just able to be taken off of it, but I continue to give her 1 can per day just as a boost. she is not the best eater out there and I want her to have the nutritional benifits. Besides, we have a case and a half left.

She's probably about 25 pounds, and 36 inches tall. She's still a few weeks shy of 2, so we haven't been for her latest checkup yet. She is an absolute beanpole. Some kids are thinner than others. My 5 year old niece is only 36 pounds-but her father is 5'6" and her mother is 5'4". Some people are just built smaller than others. As long as there are no signs of failure to thrive, and she is healthy otherwise, I wouldn't be concerned. And don't feel bad, my daughter who has never been picky hardly eats anymore. We usually have a food of the week that she'll actually eat. This week it is cereal and sunflower seeds, lol. If you want any other suggestions, e-mail me and we'll compare foods!

Children's weight and appetite vary so much! As long as her pediatrician isn't worried, I would try not to be. My son is only 18 months, but he's also not a huge eater. We make mealtime fun, though, by having toys in a bowl on the table. He chooses what he wants to play with while he eats. He likes to eat about 10 things consistently, so that's his staple plus I add a new thing to each meal hoping that it will make his list. My friend swears her daughter lived on macaroni and cheese for an entire year and she is now a healthy, beautiful 22 year old. She will be fine!

My daughter turned 2 in October and she weighs 26 pounds. She eats alot (most of the time) and I don't think she is that picky of an eater for a 2 year old and her pediatrician says shes fine. She is heathly but just naturally thin. I'm sure shes just fine.

My daughter will be 2 years old next month and she is only 23 lbs. She is a little thing. I give her 1 gummy bear vitamin a day. When she is 2 years old I will give her two vitamins. She is a picky eater but she also is just small, like her mommy.

Sometimes healthy foods is just a myth. McDonals every once in a while will help. I'm not saying every week, I'm saying giving a child a little bit more fat is ok. Thats why very young kids should drink whole milk. and for us 2%.
My son is very little for his age, he will be 3 in June and only weights 32 lbs. thats better then 28. Fat milk helped both for getting weight and stronger bones.

My daughter turned 2 in september and she is about 40 pounds. My 4 year old is about 30. Maybe a little less.

Give her whole milk. Don't let her snack in between meals if she isn't eating the meals. Once she starts to eat them and get used to it, Then she can snack. And she just may be a small girl. My daughter is very Thin. She will probably gain more weight as time goes on.
