I am a Independent Fundamental Baptist too. I have the same standards pretty much. I am a just like any other teenager too. I could for sure be friends with you.

I would never be friends with someone who doesnt wear pants!!! Only joking. In fact it is great that you have grown up in a good church and have standards - so if you were otherwise a nice person (you sound like you are) it would be nice to have a friend like you. Dont be pressured by others though if they have a problem with it - being moral is the only foundation for life that works - dont judge others, but keep your own powder dry as well.

Absolutely! My friends are Baptists who don't wear pants and the like too. They are very normal people.

I think not wearing pants is awesome. I'm going to write that one into my religion. Then I can't get in trouble for going out without any pants on. It's not indecent exposure - it's my right to religious freedom.

What on earth kind of 'standards' prevent you wearing pants? Are you expected to be chained to a stove, barefoot as well? There is very little difference to me between you and a veiled Muslim woman.

The fact that you're willing to accept other people even though they don't have the same beliefes and standards as you is very appealing to me. I'd probably be your friend, yes.

To be frank with you...
It is OK to have friends outside of your religion, and if you are happy with your beliefs, so be it!
The problem comes when people either withdraw away from others outside of their religion, and when people push their religion on others.
You sound like you have a healthy balance, and I hope you continue on a path to tolerance
