No problem at all!

Edit: Let them have fun! Their modesty will take over soon anyway, and you won't have to police this. My kids run all over (boy and girl) and sometimes they're naked and sometimes they're not. We don't make a big deal out of it. It will pass soon enough. They are modest outside of the family. We do make them put underwear on for dinner!

babies, i think it's ok... when they get older, they might want to practice some modesty (at least have on underclothing) in case company comes over.

i don't think it's a good idea for young girls especially, to be going around naked all of the time -- too many weirdos out there who prey on unsuspecting little kids -- even in their own homes.

take care.. and right now? naked is probably good

P.S.. the older those girls get the less they will want to expose anyway!

Your mother is a child abuser. Few abusers ever get help or get "cured." I wish you well, as the offspring of an abusive mother myself. The key is to remember that it's not your fault. Live YOUR life now -- you owe her nothing. We cannot "chose" our parents. Lean on YOURSELF. Respect yourself. Her problems are not YOUR problems and don't try to fix her. There is no fix for her emotional and other abuse. FIX YOURSELF. Put YOURSELF FIRST. Be brave -- others have survived similar abuse and have become great people. YOU CAN DO THIS if you decide it is your RIGHT to live a good life.

Naturally it depends on the age. Older than 3 or 4, absolutely not. They need to understand that running around naked is not acceptable. It's not that I want them to be ashamed of their bodies, because I don't, but I do want them to have a proper sense of modesty. (Shirtless and/or pantless is ok after this age, but underwear must be on)

+ I think you need to get your 6 year old to wear clothes. She is at the age where you should start talking to her about "private parts" and especially about keeping them private. It's for her own protection more than anything else. If she doesn't understand that other people aren't supposed to see or touch these parts of her then if she were sexually abused she would be less likely to tell you about it because she wouldn't know it was wrong.

I let my son run around naked if he wanted. He usually wore undies though. However when guests were over, he was required to cover up.

Now, he is 8 years old and all doors are shut if he's using the bathroom or dressing - his rule.

I would at least make them wear underwear. Something to cover their butts. My 7 year old is running around in the drawers. His sister is at a sleep over.

It depends on how old they are. If they are little, then it's not a problem, as long as they know when there are visitors over they need to cover up.

If they're really little, say under 2. After that, maybe not if there's a chance of a guy being there, including Dad. To me.it's not good for them to learn that being around a male naked is OK

My kids were the same when they were little, I let em go, just as long as no one peed on the rug! You are also fostering healthy body image.
