Our dogs, GSD and Beagle start out in their beds at night and are usually get in our beds once we're asleep. It's too funny!!! The GSD is close to me and the Beagle is right next to me. I move the Beagle moves!!!
I'm left with no bed space because of the Beagle and not the GSD. There have been times after my husband leaves for work that I have both dogs on each side of me. They're great and I'm always protected in one way or the other!!

I have 3 cats that sleep with me, when I babysit my brothers dogs at his house the 3 are on the bed, they sleep all night and would continue to 'til noon if I let 'em. They sleep like rocks, yay!

Thank God it's a king size bed.

It depends, if he's in one of his little pshyco moods and he barks like crazy when he's in the crate, he sleeps in the basement. If he's being a little angel, we make an acception and let him sleep in the living room with soothing classical music playing. He's now understanding that when he doesn't bark, he gets an award- listening to music. I know it may seem weird, but it really works!! Also sometimes he falls asleep on the couch lol!!!

The outdoor dogs( 1 Akita, 1 Siberian, 1 mixed breed) have a building they can get it, but don't always go in there. Another mixed breed gets brought inside and crated. The indoor dogs (Akitas) sleep anywhere they want upstairs except the bedroom. Usually one is in the hall, and one in the office across from the bedroom. Sometimes one or both of them will decide to sleep in their crate(s).

Jessie, my sweet Retriever/ Chow ( 14, but thinks she's a puppy) starts out sleeping with me at night and usually ends up going to the couch that I keep covered in case she climbs up during the night. Reilly, my cat ( big cat!) loves to sleep right next to me and stare at me. They are part of my family and they are both quiet and very well mannered. I love them lots!

2 German Shepherds sleep with me on my king sized bed. I live alone so it is not a problem for anyone else. Though they will need to make an adjustment whenever I am lucky enough to have a serious girl friend or get married.

My male sleeps in his crate in our bedroom, and my female sleeps on a huge pillow on the floor. Sometimes she'll sneak up on the bed, and my husband will make her get off when he notices.

In her crate, she is a Pom and gets too hot sleeping on the furniture. She was crate trained before we adopted her, and likes to go in her crate at night.

She does like to snuggle with us on the furniture when it is not night time, so she gets plenty of cuddling. Then when she wants to be on the floor, one of our four cat will go to sleep with her there...or maybe all of them....depends on the mood and the day.

Have a Happy New Year.
