Other religions are just as passionate into their religion, but don't allow terrorism to accomplish their goals. If you compare the orthodox Hassidic Jews, Monastic Christians, or Buddhist Priests - you'll find find just as much passion but no attempt to use violence to convert others.

why most Christians are so much into Gays?
no offence ..but most Christians don't think beyond Gays & seem to lack any sense of humour
plzz try to give serious answers....lol!!!!
I couldn't help it.
Muslims are a very spiritual people just as Christians and Jews are. Every Religion has their fanatics. Some people are so unhappy and so egotistical people that they want to take ownership of God and want everybody to except their beliefs, their way of thinking and their perception.

I am not sure if I got your question right, but let me say few things as a muslim:
- As a muslim, Islam is not part of my life, I cannot seperate Islam from work, from politics, education ..etc. Islam is the center of my life.
- I reached total convictions about my religion. The more I read, the more I see science, the more I study, the more I believe in my religion. It does not contradict with itself, mind, scientific facts. I met a lot of christians, who I feel deep inside they really doubts about the religion.
About the lack of sense of Humor:
- If it is about religion, yes, the center of life is not a joke. It is that we respect it so much without a doubt.
- If you talk about general sense humor, then try to meet some egyptians, you will change your mind (i.e. i am not egyptian lol)

well i am Muslim i can tell you that i don't know what exactly you mean by "think beyond Islam" if you mean consider other religions to be true i have to tell you that Islam is probably the only religion that doesn't contradict it self and as Muslims we are encouraged to know about other religions and that makes us believe in Islam even more
the fact that we don't have sense of humour well when it comes to insulting god or any of his prophets you are right we don't have a sense of humour where is the humour in that any way ?

You hit on it, pal. There is a degree of intolerance in Islam that sees non-Muslims as fundamentally flawed. Praying 5 times a day instills in their minds their beliefs. Thank God we have the most powerful military the world has ever known. And let us pray for John McCain to win.

yeah... the lack of sense of humour...
maybe because early muslims lived in the desert area. it was very hot, so hot they had to cover up from head to toe to avoid dehydration. they had to kill each other for a glass of water. nothing could grow but dates. food were scarce...how much fun could they fell? along the way they forgot about laughter...

There is nothing wrong with taking their religion and the Lord seriously Orthodox Jews do as well what's the big deal?!
Where the line is drawn is when someone uses extremism and hate/violence in the name of God to justify 9/11 and similar acts.

I don't think you have been around MOST of them. And religious people mostly tend to be humorous. Those who are not, that is thier personality..it has nothing to do with Islam.

Not just islam, but other religions have people who are really into their religions. It's just something you have to accept.
