My family is looking for a good house-dog that we can train easily to go outside when he has to go and won't chew up everything. Please nothing too expensive though! (Like purebreads)

If you make a trip to your local shelter, you'll probably find lots of dogs that have gone through the puppy stage, won't chew things, and are house broken. Check out http://www.petfinder.com for dogs in your area.

No particular breed is really any easier to train than the next, no matter what dog you decide on, it's going to take work and patience.

If you're looking for a dog that's already house trained, try looking in a shelter. Some people have negative opinions about them, but you can find truly wonderful dogs that are in desperate need of loving homes. The adoption fees are nothing like what you would pay for a purebred dog from a breeder, and most will spay/neuter the dog for free.

Beagles and German Shepherds are good dogs for a family to have that aren't major chewers.

You could also try one of your local shelters, ask a Vet in your area of the best place to get a puppy that is fostered so you know what you're getting. The other thing is to know that this puppy will also be good with children.

The 2 breeds mentioned above will be from my own experience.

Do your research. Find a local training class. Research your breeder. This is all before you get a dog. Rescue is great, but remember...these dogs could also be puppy mill dogs. The "free" rescue dog was the most expensive dog I ever owned after figuring all the vet bills over his life time.

In my experience as a breeder Labs are wonderful at house training, I have 5 and have never had any problems with them going in my home. so try a lab mix! if your looking for a mix then try the animal shelter, most of them potty or crate train the dogs before they put them up for adoption.

Well if you don't want a purebred, then we can't tell you what kind of dog to get. Just go to your local shelter and find a dog there. (Some are already house trained!)

there is not any such element as a short haired low laying off canines. Sorry. short haired canines all shed. Low-laying off canines all proceed to advance their coat - consistently - till this is clipped. so which you have 2 selections. a million. laying off, the two short, medium or long coat. 2. Low(non) laying off - all have long hair yet you will get them clipped short on the salon many times. with regard to housetraining, i'd recommend formerly you get yet another canines you google "the thank you to housetrain". If all your little canines have had a topic i'd think of possibly you will have neglected some thing in the thank you to do it. we've had 5 small canines becoming up with us, 2 observed as adults, and function housetrained all of them. The doggies have been all solid interior the abode by utilising 4 months of age, and the adults took to it exceedingly immediately besides . . . so it rather is carried out. Small canines super with young ones are no longer undemanding to return by utilising. Papillons are familiar for his or her calm demeanor, yet are so tiny young little ones ought to rather harm them merely by utilising accident. Any canines under 10 pounds i think of is merely too fragile to convey right into a house with rather youthful young ones. i discover the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is super with young ones, as is the Tibetan Spaniel. this is by utilising very own journey with many in each and each of those breeds and that they are sufficiently super to no longer be rather harm. I additionally pay attention that a nicely bred Boston Terrier could be reliable with young ones, besides because of the fact the Bichon Frise or the Shih Tzu. a number of that relies upon on socialization with little ones, and proper supervision to be sure the small canines don't get crushed by utilising the noise and boisterousness of the youngsters. in case you're somewhat busy with elevating young ones, this is a robust theory to flow to rescue, because of the fact which you could discover earlier than time if the canines gets alongside, AND it would come housetrained.

Training is a life-long project for any dog, even "good" dogs.
