Actually many Muslims expect that very thing, that Jesus will return to earth.
They simply don't believe He is the Son of God - God manifest in human flesh.
There are going to be a whole lot of surprises in that Day.

To Proud Atheist. Just a little correction here sister. We pretty much know he existed, it's not like we don't believe that. The reason for being Atheists is that we do not BELIEVE IN DEITIES, and that Jesus is the son of a deity or that he's divine.
Personally I belive he's as prominent figure in history as is Hitler, yes good old Adolph.
Jesus coming back? well... I still would be thinking the same.

Muslims do believe that Jesus -peace of God upon him- will come back and that he will correct the corruption and wrong points that were mixed with the chrisitian faith. Muslims belive that they have to follow Jesus and to support him because the message of Jesus will be the same message of muslims.
remember here again that muslims believe in Jesus as a prophet (like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Mohammed...) but the chrisitians with time misunderstood the original message of Jesus.
I invite you to read more details about that in http://sultan.org

Muslims do believe that Jesus will return, but sadly, they believe He will return as a Muslim. They believe He will fight along side the Imam Mahdi and defeat the Antichrist. They believe He will live on earth for 40 years, die and be buried by Muhammad. They believe islam will spread throughout the world. They believe Muslims will fight Christians, kill Jews and destroy all non-Muslim countries. They believe wrongly!

Jesus will return to rid the world of evil and judge the living and the dead. Muhammad will be judged by Jesus and sent where he belongs for deceiving so many people.

God Bless.

According to the oldest and most authentic copies of manuscripts and scrolls available throughout the centuries, Jesus, peace be upon him, never claimed to be God, or the creator, or the One to pray to, nor did he tell his followers to revere him as God. These notions appear on the lips of others who came along decades and even centuries later.

While Jesus was on earth he did not claim to be the creator or ask us to revere him as God. His miraculous birth is a sign of his prophethood: “Verily, the likeness of Jesus before Allah, is the likeness of Adam. He (Allah) created him from dust and said “Be!” and he was” (Quran 3:59). Like all the great and noble prophets of Allah such as Adam, Abraham, Moses, Isaac and David, Jesus came with one message: Worship, love, obey and submit to the one true God, Allah, the creator of everything and do not worship anything besides Allah.

Creation itself tells us there is a creator and from the beginning of time – Allah, (the One God in Arabic) alone is to be worshiped. This is clear teaching throughout the Old testament (Torah), the scriptures that Jesus himself read and taught from. God is one not one of three; for example: ‘He is God; there is no other besides Him’. (Deuteronomy 4:35). The same is mentioned in the book of Mark in the New Testament, chapter 12, verse 29, when Jesus, peace be upon him, had been asked about the Greatest Commandment he replied, "To know, O Israel, the Lord your God is One Lord; and you have to love Him with all your heart and all your mind and all your strength."

Muslims also beleave that Prophets Jesus(Peace Be Upon HIm) will come Back on Earth.

as we communicate we rejoice Christmas, which commemorates Jesus' start interior the little city of Bethlehem over 2,000 years in the past. And as quickly as we rejoice it, we remembere how He grew to become into born in very humble circumstances: in a sturdy, with a feeding trough for a cradle. almost no one paid any interest to His start. yet Jesus' 2nd coming would be some distance distinctive! quite of being born in obscurity, he will come back with glory and potential, accompanied by means of each and every of the angels of Heaven. Jesus suggested, "while the Son of guy is available in his glory, and each and all the angels with him, he will sit down on his throne in heavenly glory" (Matthew 25:31). while He comes back, His real identity with the aid of fact the Son of God and the King of kings would be totally printed. moreover, the Bible teaches that when He comes the complete earth will behold Him—without delay and thoroughly. The Bible says, "look, he's coming with the clouds, and each eye will see him" (Revelation a million:7). for people who've believed in Him that's going to be an excellent day—yet for people who've refused to have faith in Him, that's going to be an afternoon of mourning. For them that's going to be too previous due. confident, sometime Christ will return. we can somewhat think of what that's going to be like, for that's going to be lots greater excellent than something we can image. yet are you waiting for that day? you'll be, by means of giving your existence to Christ and growing to be His follower as we communicate.

I'm an atheist, but I apply because I don't believe in him, right?

I would probably apologize for not believing in him and God. Then I would start being a pretty relaxed Christian.
