It was always on the cards, seeing his track record of chumming up to Romanism.

Personally, I think he was never Christian in the first place, given the wicked laws he put through Parliament, the lying about weapons of mass destruction and the selling out of our country to the EU (to name but a few examples). He should be hung for treason for the last one, but there you are, so should all the politicians. All I know is that God is not mocked and whatever a man sows, that he shall reap.

I reckon Tony has joined Romanism because he knows which side to jump. It's a cynical political move and nothing more. You see, Tony's got his eye on being the European President and most of the europeans are Catholics. That's it - the guy's run by ambition, pure and simple. He doesn't believe the Catholic doctrines (I mean - purgatory?), he just wants the 'fringe benefits' and so he'll swallow anything.

It's sad, really, because one day he'll be an old man, with a lot of time to reflect on what he's done and why and what he's going to do about the state of his conscience.

I hope as he has become Catholic that he intends to accept all that Catholicism teaches as well. From what I know of him, he voted pro-choice and pro-homosexual marriage (or unions). Both these things are very non-Catholic. I hope he is not converting for the wrong reasons and that he truly embraces all that the Catholic faith has to offer.

But, once in, I'm sure God will begin to change him from within. As long as he is open to God's will.

Do you mean, what do you think of Tony Blair's conversion?
Well, I think if we don't stand for something we will fall for anything.
I stand for the truth in the Bible and pursue it rather than the sinful RC church.

I don't envy the Catholics. If instead he'd said he was going to become an atheist, I'd be embarrassed.
