There's a lot of scientific evidence that supports the pro-life position. You could use a combination of those facts with Bible truth about how human beings have dignity even in the womb. Blessings on your paper. I hope you win!

Biblical quotes would seem appropriate in a Christian contest, and if you could slot one or more into your essay it may pick up a few extra points! You may be able to find other sources that you could use for comparison/contrast. Obviously a lot depends of the particular piece of art you choose to discuss in your essay. If your writing style or ideas do not accomodate quotes from the Bible, as long as you present a coherent, well-argued and well-structured piece of work you should be fine. Good luck and I hope you do well in the contest. (Be sure to proofread thoroughly - I notice you type lowercase 'i' instead of a capital letter!)

I would say no on the bible passages. It is easy to use the Bible, but it is better to explain your solution on the matter. I'm personally pro-choice, so I'd rather hear how you plan to help people who are thinking about abortions and not simply condemnations, which I imagine you would take from the Bible. I would also like to hear other pro-life issues addressed, such as anti-death penalty issues and anti-war issues. The pro-life side of the debate always seems to ignore these important topics. When it comes to these issues many more people would consider themselves pro-life and they can therefore be used as a bridge between different minds. As a writer, I would probably not use a quote in my intro, save it for your main body of work. Good luck.

I would think that quoting the Bible would weaken your stance... I mean any non-Christian could easily poke holes in your argument by saying that the laws of Christianity can only apply to Christians, and that religious support won't be enough in real life if one is trying to get a law to be passed.
Also, be sure that you are indeed pro-life before writing the essay. I've made the mistake of taking a stance I didn't really agree with in an essay before, and it wasn't nearly as good as it could have been.

Do you mean you are supposed to write about a piece of art with the goal being to explain how it supports the sanctity of human life? If so, then I would only include some Bible passages if they were applicable to the case you were making. Maybe like this one.
Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."

If the Bible quotes will help make your point more effectively, and are a true representation of your feelings on the subject, then by all means include them.
If, however, you really do not find inspiration or motivation from Holy Writ, then leave it out. If your essay contains elements that are not truely "you", then including quotes (especially as an authority source) may come across as forced and awkward.

If there are quotes from the Bible that fit your thesis, use them. Otherwise, don't worry about it too much and definitely use the quote in your introduction that you were originally planning on. There is nothing wrong with multiple quotes :)

You should read outside what you are taught.
It is a sickness to keep quoting that book.
You do realise that it is not acceptable for you
to have your own opinion.

I believe you should intergrate bible passage quotes into your essay. The murder of the unborn counts no differently than the murder of man.
