Why is most cous cous like cream of wheat in texture but in this one restaurant I had something called "Israeli cous cous " which was like pasta almost. What's the diff?

All Cous Cous is a type of pasta...semolina wheat coated in flour...Israeli Cous Cous is larger bits of pasta...yum!

Israeli cous cous is a different type. Its is pearl cous cous. The type I see in the supermarket is just a different type. It is a form of pasta so I guess it can be made to whatever size is suitable. I think Israeli cous cous is made from a different grain too. Usually it is semolina, but I think Israeli is bulgar wheat,

the israeli kind is just bigger, i think it tastes the same though.
