in a car crash with your brother/sister, and when you got to Heaven, you discovered that your brother/sister went to hell instead (maybe he/she did something terrible in their life that they did not tell you about). How would you react knowing you would (in all eternity) never see your loved one again, and that he/she was burning in hell? What would you do? Would you call that Heaven?

that is a good question that makes you think.

I don't know what I'd do, but I think that you wouldn't realize that there is a loss. Spiritually you would be so full that you wouldn't realize the absence.

My super religious aunt and I had that exact discussion once. According to her, heaven is a place of eternal happiness and bliss. If someone from your mortal life does not make it to heaven you wouldn't know they ever existed. That way nothing would ever make you sad. It kind of makes sense to me. Why would heaven be an unhappy place?

This is a strong case for talking to every loved one about salvation. If you don't talk to them, who will? And what if no one does? Are you willing to take that chance?

i don't know how to respond to this. I assume that when we are heaven we won't think thoughts like this.
