My teeth have become uncontrolably bad, and it's time to do some major dental work.

Before I go in, I'd like to know if I even have a shot at saving any or if it's even worth it.

Well, he already looked at them. He poked all my bottom teeth with that metal pick, and it was strong enough to put mini holes into them.

He said, that even with fillings, I would need to take care of my teeth, but that was obvious.

There's ways to fix them. Go in or the pain will get worst. That alone is worth it

Without taking a look it's hard for anyone to determine if there is a shot at saving your teeth. I would recommend going to your dentist where he can take a full mouth x-ray, do an exam, evaluate your teeth and structures. You and him or her can decided together if they are worth saving or not and the best treatment plan for you. The big thing to take into consideration is financial, you can rack up a lot of money with repairing your teeth with root canals and crowns--even fillings. You also need to determine if you are happy with how you feel about your teeth. If not there is no better time than now to do something about it. Keep in mind--it's hard to replace your natural teeth (but implants come very close).
