dx10 and the fact that XP is about to be phased out. don't switch to Apple, but consider Linux (although it may not be good if you have dial-up, a weird printer, or don't know anything about computers). Vista is really not that bad, it's just annoying and asks you too many useless questions. About the only thing that changed from XP is annoying "security", DX10, and the purrrty user interface (if you're willing to pay the thirty extra bucks for it). Oh yeah, you get way less performance out of Vista because it requires so much "juice" to run itself. Don't even think about vista if you have a cheap, old, or middle-of-the-road computer.

hi lisa domicile windows XP grow to be released in 2002 in 2 flavors: domicile version and expert version. Microsoft has introduced that the help for this OS will quickly be discontinued now, meaning that the purchasers of this OS won't get any new updates and patches. Win XP has distinctive suitable valuable aspects. rather, after the primary customary of Win ninety 8, this grow to be the only domicile windows which grow to be good adequate to alter Win ninety 8 in terms of velocity, hardware compatibility, seems, and different perspectives. No different version got here close to to Win ninety 8. The hardware standards for Win XP are rather what could be envisioned of such an OS that does what it rather does. domicile windows Vista, on the different hand, is a extra suitable-looking domicile windows. Its standards are sky-severe, and require distinctive people to alter their device configuration thoroughly. characteristic-sensible, i do no longer locate something so specific in it. distinctive new contraptions are supported, yet this can be the case with any domicile windows, provided adequate INF scripts/drivers are dowloaded and put in into it. different than for the extra suitable lively seems (that could additionally be acheived in Win XP via new subject concerns, varieties, shade-schemes, icons, and shells, besides), domicile windows Vista is an pointless load on the device components, that ought to extra suitable be used for classes. whilst an working device is upgraded, most of the classes written for it additionally submit to substantial modiication. on account that Win Vista is incompatible with older hardware and classes, that's not an working device of selection for many persons; we could purely no longer have the capacity to enhance each and every thing. as properly, even although MS could stop further patches to Win XP, the XP, with each and all the updates printed so a approaches, is amazingly an indispensible OS, and that i do no longer see any ought to enhance to Win Vista rather yet. we could extremely watch for a extra progressed (and much less hungry) OS. whilst Vista grow to be released, there have been plenty expectancies out of it. those talks are slowly coming to an end. all of us is understanding the truths. it fairly is why they pick to downgrade from Vista to XP.

I got the upgrade software for Windows Vista earlier this year simply because Microsoft offered a new OS. I had no trouble doing so, but I am not very impressed with Vista. There are no new desktop backgrounds, fonts or anything like that.
I've advised others to stick with XP for now. But if you're adamant about upgrading to Vista, that's your choice.

XP is a fine OS.
The problem is that eventually Microsoft will phase it out and not support it.
Might as well get used to Vista or else go with Apple or Linux.

I choose VISTA. Although it is not as friendly as XP, it has a lot of new functionalities and features. Using this OS, it requires you to have learn a lot.
What are we actually talking here is about:
1. It requires a lot of bucks (you need to upgrade your PC specs before installing VISTA).
@ least 1GB RAM
@ least 128MB Video Card
@ least 1.8Ghz of Processor
@ least 40GB of HD
2. It requires a lot of learning (VISTA is not a mere click and press method)
3. It requires experience ( That's why after XP there is VISTA)
BTW, beginners must stuck on XP, until you will understand what is OS actually means.
