I have recently started training for a marathon. Ive run 9 miles then 11 in the past week. The next day I have pains in my hips. Should I worry or is this just normal?
Thanks

Are you stretching before and more importantly after your runs? Doing drills like fire hydrants will also help to strengthen your hips. Get on all fours and extend your leg out to the side and do 2x15 on each side every few days. Here is a video that demonstrates : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiA0-IatUrY

hope this helps! good luck with your marathon.

Depends on the type of pains, the intensity, and how long before they go away.
