I thought it was like Vaseline or makeup,you toss it when you think it's been around long enough to grow bacteria in it.

I've had some for years, use it all the time, don't think it goes bad. Its just like vaseline with antiseptic in it. Dairy farmers use it to put on the udders of their dairy cows, to keep their teats from cracking or chapped. I've used it on my dogs paws, especially when taking them for a walk in cold weather. Good for scrapes too and some bug bites.

I dont think there is an expiration date. Just make sure that it has been tightly closed. It takes on a stranger smell if left open.

I don't think it really 'expires' but if it has an off odor then it likely has become contaminated with bacteria and should be chucked... otherwise it lasts forever!

Oohh, love Bag Balm...a MILLION uses! I don't think it goes bad though...I've had a tin of it for years!

It gets a little gross... There isn't an expiration date on mine,either. It still works the same. It just isn't as creamy... and pretty. lol
