Go to your TV manufacturer's website. They may sell the original remote.

Most TV universal remotes work only for MOST brands, not all. You may have to actually get with the manufacturer for your TV and order a real replacement remote. If you had posted the brand name of your television, I may have been able to help you more.

Are you sure you've tried every single one!?!?! We have two REALLY OLD t.v.s. One is 10years old (a toshiba) and the other is like 15 years old (RCA) and we ALWAYS lose the remote.
Anyway, we buy this one from Wal-Mart. It's about 5-6 dollars depending on where you live and it's a GE. It has worked on every TV we've ever had! (We also had a Sharp t.v. before we moved that was about 9-10 years old!)
Maybe you should call the company that made your t.v.! Or just get up and change the channel ;) Or buy *gasp* a new one!

if none of the remotes work, my advice is to go get a new tv. But, check on the back of the remote containers because they usually list the name of which tv's they work for.

Try running the television cable through a VCR if you have one and use that remote. You may also search the web for your TV and remotes that are compatible for the television.

go to radio shack. on the inside of every remote package they have a list of TVs that they're compatible with. if this doesn't work then maybe it is time for a new TV. good luck

I agree on upgrading your tv but if you can find another TV remote of the same manufacturer then it will work.

Just get a new tv... if its 8 years old you should be able to find a tv better than yours at a decent price.
