Can you please give me a few direct scriptures that support the idea of the trinity without leaving any doubt?
Please write them out if you could, including the verse before and after the one that supports this.

I will get alot of Thumbs down because this is long, but here goes

1. Did Christ possess the attributes of Deity?......."For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." Colossians 2:9. (Note: Paul makes it clear that the power of Deity in its fulness are revealed in Christ. These powers include every quality of Deity such as dignity, authority, excellency, power of creating and fitting up the world, energy in upholding and direction the universe, love in redemption of man, forethought in supplying all man's needs as well as needs of all creatures. Since all these attributes of Deity rest in Christ, the implication is that there is more than one person in the Godhead.)

2. How many distinct, personal beings are there in the Godhead?......."God ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." Matthew 28:19 (Note: This text states three names. Since the Father and the Son are distinct persons, we may reasonably conclude that the Holy Spirit is also a distinct person.)

3. What is the relatinship of the members of the Godhead?.......

{a.} God the Father is the Head of the universe including the Son of God. Jesus said "I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I." John 14:28. Read 1Corinthians 11:3.

{b.}Jesus Christ is the eternal, only begotten Son of God. Read Micah 5:2.

{c.}The Holy Ghost is the third person of th Godhead. He works in harmony with the Father and the Son. Read Genesis 1:2. (Note: In order to accomplish the plan of salvation and to enable man to understand better the issues invovled, the members of the Deity have taken certain positions. God the Father sets forth the viewpoint of the Deity with regards to sin and slavation. God the Son, having become incarnate, has accomplished the atonement for sin by His death and stands as man's representative head before God. As our representative, He helps us to understand God as our father. Read John 20:17. God the Holy Spirit applies salvation to the human heart by converting and transforming the salvation that was wrought out by God the Son in His life and atoining death.)

4. What are some of the characteristics of Deity?.......God is: {a.} Ominpotent [Revelation 19:6; Job 11:7]. {b.}Omnipresent [2Chronicles 16:9; Zechariah 4:10]. {c.}Omniscient [1Timothy 1:17; Job 24:1; 32:8]. {d.}Immutable [Hebrews 6:17]. {e.}Eternal [1Timothy 1:17; Psalm 10:16; Daniel 7:14; Revelation 11:17]. {f.}Love [1John 4:8]. {g.}Merciful [Exodus 34:6]. {h.}Just [Deuteronomy 32:4; Revelation 15:3]. {i.}Righteous [Ezra 9:15; Nehemiah 9:7,8].

5. Did Christ coexist with the Father from eternity?.......Read John 1:1-3,14.

6. Is the third member of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit, a person?.......

{a.}He is another person like Jesus - "another comforter" [John 14:16,17].

{b.}He has personality traits, such as:

1. Mind, can intercede [Romans 8:16].

2.Will, He can choose [1Corinthians 12:11].

3. Can be grieved [Ephesians 4:30].

4. Can be lied to [Acts 5:3,4].

5. Can be insulted [Hebrews 10:29].

{c.}He is linked with other members of the Godhead in the baptismal formula and in the apostolic benediction [Matthew 28:20; 2Corinthians 13:14].

7. What is the work of each member of the Godhead in relation to the plan of salvation?.......

A. The work of the Father(GOD) {1.}He gave His Son [John 3:16]. {2.} He pardons inquity [Micah 7:18].

B. The work of the Son(Jesus) {1.}Christ saves from sin [Matthew 1:21]. {2.} He intercedes for us [1John 2:1,2].

C. The work of the Holy Ghost {1.}He inspires the prophets [2Peter 1:21]. {2.}He reproves the world of sin [John 16:8; 1Corinthians 2:10-13] {3.}He guides into truth [John 16:13]. {4.}He leads the person to conversion, bringing about the new birth [John 3:3-8].

CONCLUSION: The three divine beings of the Godhead are one in nature, in character, and in purpose. However, God the Son has voluntarily subordinated Himself to the Father in order that He might take man's nature. As the "second" Adam (Romans 5:14), he has atoned for our sins, and stands as our representative head before God. When God so loved the world as to give us His Son (John 3:16), He gave Him permanently. The subordination of our divine Saviour will be eternal (1Corinthians 15:24-28).

Bible Teaches Trinity

God is eternal, personal, spiritual Being in three persons --
Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit [ Matthew3:13-17; 28:19;
2 Corinthians 13:14 ].

One God is revealed in the Scripture as Father, Son and Holy
Spirit --the trinity. Within the one " essence" of the Godhead there are three persons who are co-equally and co-eternally
God .

Greetings Friend,

If you are looking for a verse that specifically has the word Trinity in it, there is not one in the Protestant Christian Bible (PCB) (I am not sure about the Catholic Bible, since I have not read it totally through). However, there are many people who believe in the Trinity because the PCB seems to allude to the idea with verses that speak of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as God.

Personally, I do not think the Bible teaches the doctrine of the Trinity. I do believe that it teaches that there is one God and that the Father is God, the Son is God in the flesh, and that the Holy Spirit is God. This does not mean there are three Gods. It means there is one God, who has made Him/Herself known in at least three different roles. Just as I am a father, a son, and a person, God is a Father, or Mother, that is His/Her role. God created everything that is, so in this regard He has Fathered it all. More specifically, according to the PCB, He Fathered Jesus because His Spirit caused Mary to become pregnant. Since Jesus was God's Son, he had to be of the same, Divine, nature. In Jesus, God infused Himself with humanity - Spirit infused in flesh so to speak. The essence of God is Spirit. One could think of it like this: our essential nature is spirit, however, we fulfil many roles: father/mother, sister/brother, etc.

Another point of view is that just as God, who is Spirit, was the divine factor in Jesus, He is the divine factor in each of us. Since God is our Father/Mother, we must share in the Divine nature.

Anyway, there are numerous ways to understand things and regardless of what one's beliefs are concerning the Godhead, remember that God loves you. I hope this has been helpful.

sending love,

The Trinity is a lie. "It did no longer take place till the 4th century A.D. between the Apostolic Fathers, there have been no longer something even remotely drawing close this style of mentality or attitude."--- (1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.the recent Catholic Encyclopedia. Christianity is derived from Judaism & Judaism is precisely Unitarian believing that God is one individual. Fourth century Trinitarianism did no longer mirror properly early Christian coaching with reference to the character of God; it grew to become into, on the alternative, a deviation from this coaching."--(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L. The Encyclopedia Americana. a million Cor 8:5,6 RS: "even with the actuality that there are may be so-referred to as gods in heaven or in the international--as certainly there are a number of 'gods' and a great style of 'lords'--yet for us there is one God, the daddy, from whom are all issues and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by using whom are all issues and by using whom we exist." This provides the daddy with the aid of fact the "one God" of Christians and as being in a type distinctive from Jesus Christ. in no way interior the Bible is the daddy suggested to examine with the Son as "my God," nor does the daddy examine with the holy spirit as "my God." each and every Scripture that Trinitarians use as 'information' of the Trinity certainly point out 'in elementary terms 2 persons, no longer 3'; so regardless of if the Trinitarian clarification of the texts have been maximum suitable, those does no longer teach that the Bible teaches the Trinity. No the place interior the holy Scriptures are we given a acceptance for the holy spirit. God---YHWH---Jah---Jehovah. Jesus Christ the Son of God; the sole begotten-god. we are given names for the two considered one of them. no longer the holy spirit. JW's, Muslims, Hebrews & Unitarians all worship One God. no longer the pagan, Trinity theory. Any1 be attentive to of any others? (u can not incorporate Mormons)

All you will ever want to know about the Trinity can be found at

If the Trinity is true, it is degrading to Jesus to say that he was never equal to God as part of a Godhead. But if the Trinity is false, it is degrading to Almighty God to call anyone his equal, and even worse to call Mary the "Mother of God." If the Trinity is false, it dishonors God to say, as noted in the book Catholicism: "Unless [people] keep this Faith whole and undefiled, without doubt [they] shall perish everlastingly. And the Catholic Faith is this: we worship one God in Trinity."

There are good reasons, then, why you should want to know the truth about the Trinity. But before examining its origin and its claim of truthfulness, it would be helpful to define this doctrine more specifically. What, exactly, is the Trinity? How do supporters of it explain it?
