I have doubts that a chiropractor would help you at all. Chiropractors may help you feel better for a short time but they can't correct the way your spine is growing.

Only thing I'll suggest is seeing a spine specialist, not just your family doctor.

If you had so I suppose a theoretical question. Scoliosis is a side way curvature of your spine and you first need to find the 'degree' of curvature. Likewise depending on age, you can do certain exercises to stop the curvature from deteriorating. Strengthening the back muscles will be excellent for your future health and spine. Herniated Disk, you do not state what type, position of the hernia, let alone what is anything it is impinging on? You need to know more about the disc before you can expect a Chiropractor to manipulate your back. Good Luck

I let a chiropractor treat a cervical spine problem and ended up with a spinal fusion operation and being disabled

Go see a chiropractor, the lets see if it gets worse and wearing a brace is not the way to go. As for the gentleman who stated he was hurt by a chiropractor my dad was paralyzed by a M.D during surgery. Doesn't mean i think or tell people never to go to a M.D again.
